Competition Ceramic vs Feramic...

Grassy Fork VFD will be having their annual Fall Pull on Friday September 1, 2006. There will be a horse pull first (i think 6pm??) and then a class of farm tractors followed by 8000lb Diesel Trucks (run what ya brung) and then another farm class. I think the diesel trucks pay $100 to win and then 4 or 5 places

Guys if you can make it to one pull before the year is up this is going to be it.

Anything goes... . Twins, bottle, whatever... .

I'll try to get a video of some of the horses pulling.

I'll admit it does sound very funny... .

But they harness them together side by side by teams of 2 and then drop the "hook" which is connnected to a make shift sled filled with concrete blocks.

As soon as they hear the metal clang of the hook they go... . no flagman or green light.

So even if they dont get the hook in they go.

And all this time there is their handler who is 'trying' to keep them under some sort of control.

Its probably one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen.

The kind of horse they use is literally a bread "pulling horse" and they are built like a brick... ... ... well you get the picture. (picture a clydsedale without the long hair)

Zstrokin on one side, and Crowder on the other!!

If your referring to me, I might try that, I would just have to watch crowders tach, so I can know when to let her rip, so he doesn't pull the sled over me. I think I might still win the smoke contest!!!

By the way I watched a video of mine the other day. I saw two officials take a knee, and the flag guy cross his leg, while I was spooling. The bad news is no more smoke shows ladies, new convertor got put in this morning, just have to add fluids, put drive shafts in, install freeze plug, and she is ready to go(I think).
