Anyone have any input on a transmission flush. I have a 2001 2500 4x4 automatic with 105000 miles. While I have had no problems with the transmission, I was thinking of a flush for preventive measures.

Any comments would be most appriciated!!!!

I service mine every spring (about 12,000 miles on average). Overkill? Perhaps - but it always comes out nice and clean, and no transmission problems to date (56,000 miles - about 14,000 of it towing). I drop the pan, change the filter, and replace the fluid. Since I do this every year, I figure it's cycling out pretty well, so the flush really isn't necessary. I've also read on here the theory that the flush could loosen up crap and cause trouble. Seems like a nice profit operation that probably isn't worth the $ to me. Just my . 02 cents.
