tap in for gauge ilumination ?

wheres the best place to tap in to the dash illumination for the gauges.



I used to go off the fuse on my 2nd gens but that doesnt work on my 03

Pretty sure it is orange with a white tracer, found it in the loom that comes down from the headlight switch area.

For a better location the harness that goes to the radio the orange wire can be tappped for the light circut and then tap the cigar lighter for the power to your guages... I mounted my guages in the cubby hole below the radio and since the pannal was off the dash, it was just as easey to pull the radio and tap the power there.

Ditto. Crank on the parking lights, get a test light, then confirm with the dimmer switch. While I was in there, I also used the 12V+ switched from the cigarette lighter to power the pyro and my radar detector. I feel it's easier this way; you don't have to R&R the stereo.

This one's REALLY easy to get to as that panel pops right out!
