tap size for egt

hi all,

i am going to tap and drill for my auto meter ultralight egt. the instructions say 1/8 npt tap,my question is 1/8 npt-27 or 1/8 npt -28.

Mine was 1/8-27 NPT my guage was Autometer but not the ultralight. Maybe someone else can confirm they are the same.

NPT-27 (National Pipe Tapered) is the standard. Never heard of NPT-28. Keep in mind this is a tapered thread, so run the tap in a bit at a time and try the fitting often... . do not go too far or it will not seal.
