Ah, too bad. I guess I am now a thing of the past too. There was a notification that TDR was going to drop Tapatalk. I don't remember the date as I don't use it but being its the first of the month Id wager it may be a thing of the past.
Well, TT users never saw the announcement. I happened to catch it Thursday evening when I logged in in my laptop. We announced this a week in advance of deactivation, and unfortunately, no Tapatalk user took the opportunity to comment about it.
I've been playing with the settings but, frankly, the TT interface was simplicity at its finest.@MarkEagleUSA , if you use Chrome you can go into Settings -> Accessibility you can change font scaling.
I wish I had better news for you, but given how Tapatalk is looking more and more like its all about them, and not their forum partners, and ways they can further monetize their users with no say in it from the forums we felt it was in the best long term interest of TDR to go on without them. I am working on setting up push notifications here, so you can get notified on your phone (or desktop) of things similar to the way Tapatalk does.
Not to diminish the loss of Tapatalk or whatever it is as I have never used it, but with a "Favorite" shortcut and the "Today's Posts" button that I always request be re-installed after any upgrade it is very simple to run the TDR on a smartphone...
I don't understand the hubbub......and also hate to see members leave over it....
I too did not see the notification.
Sorry that Tapatalk is difficult to work with but for a forum they I pay a subscription fee to, that is a convenience that I want considering most of my forum reading is done on my phone.
Without Tapatalk support, I am not very inclined to renew my subscription.
