can you guys tell me what the odds that when i hook my comp box up i will sieze the roter i am a little worried i guess you could say so i need some incurigement to hook it up :{

It is a complete toss up, though failure rate is not 50%, so chances are good that it will not fail, but it is possible. I noticed that you do not have a FP gauge in your signature, if you do not have one, get a mechanical one (with some type of snubber).

I also noticed that you disabled your wastegate, with that disabled and a tapped pump wire, you will beable to push enough fuel to exceed 35psi of boost with your turbo. 35psi is the limit of the efficency range on the HX turbos, anything more than that will produce more heat than good. You will want to re-enable that wastegate and limit it to 35psi.

I've read that if taping the wire is going to bring a VP problem to the surface, it will do it within about the 1st 20 minutes. Not to say the pump won't die later, but then that could happen without the tap. I babied mine for 20 minutes of sheer anxiety, then enjoyed big smiles for two years. Now my VP is on it's way out, I can't wait to see what a Hot Rod VP does for me... .

IMHO, A gauge and "Fuel Delivery System" is critical with using a Comp Box

I would just to eliminate the banjo bolts. You can put together a setup with free-flow fittings and #6 line for a few dollars. If you get creative, you could probably do this at your local hardware supply house.

Vulcan Fuel Fittings

Theres a guy I met on DTR than manufactures some 3\8" straight fittings that work awesome. You abandon the banjos & install these fittings with new 3\8" fuel line & the stock banjo washers. I installed a new LP & these fittings with the new 3\8" lines & I see 16+ at idle, 15 psi cruising at 60, & can't pull it down below 14 psi under heavy throttle. If your interested I can hook you up with his email address.

Not affiliated with Eric but I sure love his setup. I should note, their pretty affordable & IMHO worth the time & effort!

ya that would be great those would flow alot better than the stock

They do! I was thinking about what I posted last night & on the way home I looked over at my guage going 60 mph & it was where it should always be..... 16 psi. I love these fittings & line upgrade! One of the best bombs to date!

Can you run a comp without a fuel system upgrade or is it a must have item?

I would not recommend it, but I suppose it depends on what other fuel & air mods accompany the comp. Lacking any other information, fuel pressure would be a good indicator to determine what is necessary. There are a lot of opinions on what the minimal safe FP is. My ideal preference would be 12psi @ 5x5 WOT. Stock plumbing will pull the FP down to 0psi on my truck, and it has a new lift pump.
