Will not cut pump wire

I was going to vote; however something is out of whack again and "my session seems to be invalid" whatever that means.

Well...

I had to vote "wire that but not tapped yet", but in two weeks to the day, I will have it tapped!!!! Oo. Oo. Oo.

I can't wait. :)

Later, Josh.

Another mysterious thread with no logical explanation. What pump are we talking about and why would someone tap a wire? I presume this is all 24 valve double talk:rolleyes:

It's a 24 valve thing. :p ;) :D

Blue chip cover here. Those of you who haven't "tapped" in to the magic dont know what you are missing. Get a comptetion version box, the extra rpm is sweet. Oh yeah, tapping the pump wire has nothing to do with defueling due to overboost conditions. You use a boost module for that which plugs in to the map sensor. Using one of the pump tab style boxes simply holds the solenoid in the pump open longer and increases the duration for which fuel is injected in to the cylinder. I. E. more fuel = more power= :D

hello rubberneck, i do have an upgrade ,banks, i know and have read whats been said about banks, but i didn`t pay anywhere near full price. i dont have any intentions of pulling sleds, going 120 mph or more or doing a quarter mile in 10 sec. i got that out of my system due to sitting in a very confined space for a long time. i just want more without having to spend big bucks rebuilding my truck every weekend. i notice your truck in profiles sounds pretty bad. i`m interested in your ladder bars . i can`t find any to fit mine with the sway bar, any insite would be appreciated ken

I don't need, or want to, tap the pump wire. I can make plenty of power without putting the pump's longevity at risk. :D

Agreed. .

Had to give it a try, just to see what kind of power it was capable of. Ran the Blue box for awhile. Makes incredible power, but wasnt comfortable knowing theres more electronics, more strain on an already "marginal" part, and VERY EXPENSIVE to replace. Also, would hate getting stuck in BFE with a 5th wheel on back. That would be bad.

Sold the box, left the wire available. Who knows what the future brings.

Its nice to know you have the ability to make any amount of power you want, but, unless youve got money to burn, its just a gamble.

Like Evan Says, there's plenty of power w/o tapping that magic power wire.

If I was starting fresh, it would be Gauges, EZ, DD3's, 5" exhaust, BHAF w/ SS mallory heat shield, lift pump by the tank, extend the crankcase breather a few feet back, 180 thermostat, and that would make a honey of a motor. Then add the SBC clutch for a manual.

Wouldnt be a D-max, or Powerstroke that would even come close in the "Usable Power vs Reliability" category. IMO.

My bars are basically a knock off of the steve st laurent bars with a few modifications. they arent really a ladder bar so much as a traction bar i guess you might call them. Do a search on steve st laurents bars you will find tons of info. Enterprise engine sells them i believe. You can find them in the links section.

If I am not mistaken Evan was converting his truck to use the Cummins ECM, which he can reprogram to what ever he wants, within the relm of Cummins software at least.

Rubberneck- I don't belive that Enterprise is selling the bars anymore as Steve and one other guy found they where cracking the frame on the front mount. Steve stopped production and said eventually he would post a parts list and supplier list so we could make our own if we wanted...
