What’s the secret to sealing this pos ? What kind of stick em do I need to put on it ? I’ve got ultra black . Glad I caught it now it’s about a 20 minute job with the engine on the stand .

I did a search and read a bunch of stuff . I put ultra black in the block and it still leaked like a sieve never really had a problem getting something to seal until this cover

I’ve done a lot of side covers never used any silicone or sealant of any kind never had a problem not sure why so many people think it’s necessary. Just make sure everything is good an clean!

I've never messed with mine yet, but I wondered if "The Right Stuff" would work well. I've had great success with it everywhere I've used it so far.

Did you let it cure overnight? I used the Rightstuff black. Bead on the cover, pressed on the gasket and a bead on the exposed side of the gasket and let it sit until the next day.

That IMHO will do nicely!!! I always keep on hand a caulking tube or the push nozzle of it on hand and use it for many applications.

NOPE lick it and stick it! Ready to roll. I would apply a bead to both sides of the gasket. I have NEVER had a leak using it for many years now.

I’ve had success using the yellow 3M Weatherstip Adhesive to “glue” the gasket to the cover, let it sit overnight, then install the cover dry.

Let it cure for about 3 weeks I didn’t put very muck guess lll pull it off and put a bigger bead
