tc and tps again

I am back again with the infamous tc and tps. I have gone as far as replace the tps sensor. Now that I am $140. 00 poorer, I still have the tc kicking in and out. I wiggled some wires the other day, and it seem to work for about two weeks. Many of you have told me it is a wire or connector problem. I am thinking it might be the connector to the tps. Can you buy just the connector and splice it into the wiring system. There is not a lot of room there, but I think this is my next step. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

You could try using a dental pick or small paper clip to clean and pry the female connectors up so they make better contact,try some aerosol electronic cleaner also. Make sure that where each of the wires enter both the connectors is tight and not corroded. Look for any mouse chews along the length of the wire harness also.

I think the wires are loose on the wire connector end (not the tps side). They seem to almost break off. Is there any way to fix this without buying new connector?

It will be much easier to replace the plug,that is if it's available,I have a feeling it's not. If it isn't you might have to buy a generic plug from an auto parts,even a four prong trailer jack will work. Depending on how much extra wire you have you might have to splice in more wire. If that's the case you might just consider eliminating the plugs and splicing the wires directly together. Solder and heat shrink is better than using crimp type connectors in my book.

I had that problem last year and dc couldn't figure the problem out, so I had to. I found out that the brake sensor under the brake peddle was out of adjustment. I adjusted the switch and the fat lady finally sang. I hope this was help to you

azgearpro,if the brake switch is the problem you can tell because the cruise control will kick out on it's own,right?Or was it too short of a pulse to affect it?
