TC lockup in 3rd gear for an 03 ?

Wanting to know if there is a way to lock up the TQ when OD is in the off postion.



03's don't have the tow/haul option.

It should lock on it's own if OD is off, mine does it, I think it is around 45mph.

Sure doesn't feel like it. Maybe its because I only have it off (OD) when I am pulling and can't really feel it?

just looked at your sig, ours is a 47re, don't know if it makes a difference ...



we don't tow much and empty it is pretty easy to feel ...



maybe your 48re just has a tighter convertor and is harder to feel?

I have the 48re and I can definetly feel it when 3rd locks, especially when towing.

my t/c has never locked with o/d turned off, but I never tow

so it should, and I need to see the dealer?

It locks but when it's pushed to the floor or about 3/4 throttle it unlocks , put a convertor lock switch in and it will stay locked in 3rd

Well I'm wrong. My t/c does lock in 3rd.

MUCH different than od lock.

3rd is very smooth with maybe 200 rpm drop,hard to notice

od drops about 600 rpm and is solid
