Head Bolts, What torque??

Amsoil 5 gallon Buckets.........

I am wanting to put a Tc lockup switch in my truck. This is for use with my exhaust brake. I would like to set it up for Tc locked, unlocked and auto(let the computer do the work). I believe you should be able to do this. If anyone has any suggestions or has done this please let me know. I would like a wiring diagram if possible.

Also i am having problems with my tps so any tips on this would also be greatly appreciated. I believe dtt sells a filter for the wire but what other options are there? Thanks for all the help

Chris

Does anyone know how to set it up for Tc locked, unlocked and auto(let the computer do the work). I know you will have to have a 3 position switch but does anyone have a wiring diagram or can tell me how before i try it and screw something up.

Thanks

Chris

Not to get off the subject, but how do you know when your lock-up switch is working? I have a switch in my truck and when I turn it on I don't feel anything. What should be felt when I flip the switch?

Chris,

Take a look at the TST diagram. It has the wires you need. The difference is that you cut the wire that TST says not to cut. On your single pole double throw switch attach the end of the cut wire the goes to the PCM to one of the outside terminals. Attach the ground wire to the other outside terminal. Attach the other end of the cut wire to the center terminal.

There should be a 100-200 drop in rpm when the TC locks. The easiest way to see if it is working (in a parking lot or something) is to turn on your locking switch and slow down. As you come to a stop, the truck will want to die, just like a manual trans vehicle stopping without the clutch pushed in. This is assuming that you only have a switch, not some device that will act as a locking switch and also automatically unlock the TC at a certain speed when decelerating.

If the TC is already locked when you turn the switch on nothing will happen. All you do when you do that is to make it hold the lock when you lift. A quick check to see if it is locked by the switch is to lift. If your tach drops to idle it is not locked.

TST LOCKUP DIRECTIONS

WHY DOES THE TST LOCKUP DIRECTIONS INDICATE IT IS NOT FOR CALIFORNIA? COULD IT BE ARE SPECIAL SMOG REQUIREMENTS? WILL THIS LOCKUP WORK ON THE CALIFORNIA CTD?
