If you call Bill Kondolay, he can tell you all about what the problem is. I know that he was having some issues with California trucks setting off Check Engine lights.

Just an FYI, Lockup Switches/Mystery switches are very well known for damaging auto trannys.



Save your yourself the hassle and call DTT. Their system will transfer the power to the ground and you don't even have to worry about lockup. Seriously!!!!

kswieringa, You might call DTT and talk with Bill K. . They have a box called the 'smart controller' that lets you programs different aspects of your transmission (ie: shift points, when it ulocks, and such).

I have one on order just because of the same things you dont like... . lock,unkock,lock... ... . this box will fix that.

aw man..... you have to lock up those credit cards now!!! sound like you got the bomb flu :D before you know it you'll have injectors, TC, VB, Gauges, more gauges. :eek: where does it end?

PS: once you put the EZ in watch out for your TC slipping. When I added the EZ only to my rig. the TC would slip at very light throttle, up hill with an 8000# load. I could feel it shudder. This is not to say it will happen to you. most dont have any problems be adding just an EZ. But some do (like me)...



so once I noticed that I went for the transmission upgrades and injectors.

I have to disagree with you on something. As far as Bill K's Smart Controller goes, it actually does not let you adjust shift points, that is all done through the valve body and the kick down lever. Also, from my experience the smart controller doesn't control when the TC locks up, it actually tells the TC when to unlock. . like at X amount of throttle it will unlock to protect the TC.



Bill can explain the controller a ton better then I can, but it was designed to work with the DTT TC and VB to not only control an e-brake and give you second gear lockup, but it's main purpose is to protect TC.

You will set codes.......

Tree huggers had their say in the California PCM's. Wants to see the transmission locked up at certain times to keep emissions under control. I'm in the same boat for now with just the transmission mods. I was warned and don't care, the transmission mods were the best thing I've done to this truck yet.

I second that one... !!!! Don't even mess with them lockup switches. Call Bill K and ask him how destrctive them things are. Trust me. . Bill K will tell you the honest to god truth. He's not out to sell his products!!!!

Do not put a lockup switch in,you will fry your TC,especially with the EZ. Do it right,or dont bother at all. Go for the TC,and valve body,you know who to call already.
