Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) tc lockup

Hi all



Recently lost od in my 94 auto. Went to local trans shop and they replaced the tps. iT goes into od ok now but about 75% of the time the TC does'nt un lock. It will downshift all the way down to first as I am stopping. when I take off from stop I really have to hammer it to get it to shift to 2nd. Sometimes it works fine. You can imagine what its doing to fuel milage. Help. sleon

Did they mess with the TV cable adjustment? Just as a check, with the throttle fully depressed, there should be about 1/16" to 1/8" of travel left in the throttle valve lever at the transmission.

Thanks for the info. I checked the cable and there was about 1/4 to 3/8 slack. Will try to adj. tomorrow Thanks again . sleon
