Archived TC won't Unlock

My torque converter will not unlock, it is in a constant lockup conditon from reverse to the botom of 1st and all the way to the top of 4th. I need help!! Ive got a 99 24 valve with 260,000. Im looking for info on how many volts operating range the converter clutch solenoid operates at. I understand that it is engaded by a ground condition and that it is disengaded with a nominal voltage. Im trying to eliminate electical from mechanical defects. I. E. eliminate a transmission removal/overhaul' its just not a good $$ time.

Your problem is more than likely the solinoid. They aren't hard to replace just messy.

If you need the pin out for the PCM harness I'll see if I can find it. Voltage should be 12VDC.

Thanks for the info Im gonna change the solenoid out and go from there. How do you like your dunrite converter and which one do you have. Ive been looking at converters lately and had seen that one but they dont have much for info on their site. I know converters are a hot topic on this site. thanks again. P. S. i already located the wire out of the pcm. thanks.
