FSM shows pin number 7 color OR\BK for the TCC lockup solenoid on the transmission control assembly (the round pug on the driver side of trans is the interface).



I would not wire it without a resistor to ground. Some have gotten away with this and it worked but I believe it is simply a bad ground that is allowing it to work. Most, not all, inputs to the PCM will go to limp mode with less than 5 ohms resistance. The resistor will insure it never codes.

Not if you use a resistor between the switch and ground. :)



AFAIK, the jumper wire stopped the PCM\ECU from putting the trans into limp mode on all the years that had the ability to shut down the relay. Using a resistor negates the need for the jumper.
