Yeah, that is a rather depressing site. OMG! 25 lbs of boostOo. Kinda weak, and their cars only weigh a third of what some of us weigh. Have to admit, Jason, you find some good stuff to post on here. That Bronco video on the hill climb was great! Keep 'em coming

I'm pondering getting a TDI. If I get real serious with the GF, I'm going to have to convince her that we'll pay for a slightly used TDI.

Not her style, but I don't wanna worrie if I'll get the break caliper off her 1989 Toyota and not break anything while replacing the non existent break pads and rotor.

Plus, once she gets her own car to smoke people out, tho little puffs, it's going to be down hill for her and diesels.

Thats true, though, if I ever got a TDI, I think it would be for mileage/commuting. It just doesn't sound as fun building a VW to race as a 8K diesel truck that can beat camarslows and mustangs:-laf Though, I wonder what a TDI would sound like with a 3" straight pipe? Never looked under the hood of one, so I don't have a clue whats under the hood. That, and I can't keep up with all the projects I have already, let alone one more. Nor do I have the room. Not yet anyway... .

Well, it's gota be faster then stock. needs to smoke and make some noise. Not looking for a 13 second car when I got a 13sec truck. Tho, 13sec TDI would be nice if it's relatively cheap to do so :)

one of my favorite quotes from that thread

"The only trucks that ever give me a problem are the turbo diesels. "

I love my TDI. with its stock 100Hp and 170FPT, it really moves, and gets 40+ and I miss a lot of fuel price spikes between fill-ups. Never have a problem getting in front of or merging traffic. :D
