Thanks, TDR Staff

EGT & TIT

OK Let me start out by saying this is supposed to be a fun thread. I really hope no one is offended and if they are I apologize up front. I have only been on TDR a short time but have found the “Characters” are what really make it enjoyable. So How about an informal Best “Character” Contest. These are the guys that would end up as TDR bobble heads if TDR made them. I will throw a few names out to start but since I only visit certain forums I am certain to leave some big ones out. Please help out on this one

Some are Notorious, some legendary, and some just colorful.

In no particular order

Illflem- former moderator with strong opinions and lots of advice

Rhondasaway-Fast, Female Door slammer. That is intimidating

Hoss-Faster. Often used by other members when Bench racing.

Fletcher- Fastest. Many a D-max or stroker conversation has ended by showing off a Fletcher Timeslip

COMP461-Self proclaimed fastest diesel on the planet. A controversial figure to say the least

Hohn-His well written technical posts are incredible. Would make an excellent technical writer

ChampagneFlight- Controversial political forum poster. Former propaganda Czar for the Soviet Union

Loncray-CF’s more reasonable sidekick

HVAC-Legendary Pioneer of High Horsepower.

JetPilot-Another pioneer of High Horsepower. Keep one of his dyno sheets in your pocket for the Dmax boys

Marco-ECM genius. The pride of Italy. I always use my James Earl Jones voice when I read his posts. I picture the Wizard of Oz before you got to see him. Just a voice from above.

And How can we forget…. .

Dockboy-Ford anomaly. Drives a stroke with the heart of a Cummins. Must have sold his soul to the devil or at least that is what we like to think. Make sure you carry a Fletcher Timeslip and a Jetpilot Dyno sheet in case you run into this guy

Help me here, I know there are many more. Maybe TDR will make a Bobblehead some day :-laf :-laf

You forgot about Sleddy. If any bobblehead figures are made you have to have a sledpuller bobblehead. I'd like to have mine before the Springfield mo DHRA pull please. :-laf

Nice post Tractorface. While HVAC was a pioneer, the 24-valve was his specialty

I kinda consider illflem = "know it all" but I like Bill, OK guy in my book :)

Scott1 - Former major-league TDR ham along with HVAC in the "good ol days. " Originator of Scotty air systems and the BOMB acronym

Plenty more I can think of when I have some more time. . .

Vaughn

Coleman, I'm flattered... . I think... ...

HOLESHOT!!!!!!

Johnboy, one of the early Ford potstirrers.

fester3er, (if serial killer or pervet doesn't come to mind after reading that name... )

Toolman!!

Cooker, the voice of reasonable questions, and helpful advice, calming influence, in threads filled with chaos!

There is literally hundreds, of colorful characters, if not thousands.

This is something Justin Williams could market with his Diesel videos.

FORGOT DOC TINKER! (newbies, for hours of entertainment, search DocTinker. )

My personal one:

N "Which hobby should I get into this week?" Ploysa-Not a high HP truck guy, but thinks like one. Loves to write threads in the "Other" forum on his 4 million hobbies including motorcycles and gear, climbing, jet engines, camping, archery, guns, R/C helis and airplanes, and of course his truck

:)

Sometimes I think VOODOO DOLLS would be much better OH YEAH and a hand full of needles and a book of matches,,,,,

Get in an argument on a thread and just whip out the doll.

Schied / Mitchell battle ... ... ... ..... take this... . and that... ... . how about this

you get the idea

Don't forget Maddog-heavy and fast

Scott Bentz-for the first cummins dragster.

Piers-with a wrench in his hand.

Comp-with a big cr@p scoop.

I think Sled Puller would be best represented as a PEZ dispenser pulling a manure spreader:D

Gene and Comp are actually the same person, just alter-egos. After Gene reached the pinacle of sled pulling, he created within himself a drag racing personality and thus, Comp was born. (Its kinda like the Jekyll and Hyde episode on Bugs Bunny) :-laf
