Quick question about TDR mag.

Spammers Getting Trial Memberships!?

I realize someone put some real effort into making the classified ad section "easier" to peruse, but I would have to say it backfired. There are now far too many 'specific' categories within far too many "generations" with far too few listings to be worth doing all that extra back & forth clicking from one category and generation to the other. I simply prefer to see what everyone is selling with a single visit to a single page.

I think it worked better the way it was. Just my . 02

On an unrelated note, it doesn't matter how many times I open TDR and enter my user name and password and click "remember me", the website never remembers me anymore and I have to do it again every day.

I don't have this problem with any other website, and though this is a different computer, I have checked all the settings as far as accepting cookies and assuring the machine that TDR content is safe and allowed. This has been going on for a few months now. Has anyone else experienced it?

Check your cookie policy for turbodieselregister.com. It almost sounds as though you somehow told your browser never to accept cookies from TDR.

I've done my best efforts to try to do that, Neal. Maybe it requires a screwdriver and hammer? That would be good news, since those are "user friendly" devices I actually understand.

Screwdriver and hammer? I thought you got rid of that Windows computer! :)

Which browser (and OS, for that matter) are you using?

Try each of these steps, until one works.
  1. Verify the system date/time. There is a small chance that TDR cookies/cache *may* have been created with a date far into the future or far into the past which could be enough to cornfuse the bowser.
  2. There is the Cookie policy: automatically Accept, automatically Reject, or Ask what to do. Verify the cookie policy is *not* to reject cookies from TDR.
  3. There are the existing cookies for the domain, which can be cleared. Verify TDR's cookies are deleted.
  4. There is the cache for the domain, which can be cleared. Verify that TDR's cache is cleared.
OTTOMH, I can't think of any other reason cookies wouldn't work.

On the classifieds we were forced to change from the software we were using due to a security issue. We had been working on it however. We took input from many people and this format was popular with most. The idea is that not many people are going to be looking for products for all the generations - this way you can just see the ones for your generation. Also, if you use the view new posts feature (and don't turn the classifieds forums off) then you'll see all the new for sale/wanted items right in your regular search.

On the cookie issue you probably have a corrupted cookie on your PC. We have a forum specifically for website related questions and have a thread stickied at the top of that forum for just this issue: https://www.turbodieselregister.com...nly/108976-having-trouble-staying-logged.html . Go through the suggestions there and it will probably take care of it for you.
