Well guys, I did it again. My streak lives on.

It seems every TDR event that I attend costs me a break down or a broken part. The clash of the titans race has officially claimed its part.

I've been preparing all week for this race. I got my head and block o-ringed, a new progressive nitrous controller installed and a few other goodies. I just fired it up and was adjusting the external wastegate on the twins when the head broke.

The ears that attach to the exhaust manifold broke clean off at the #1 cylinder.

So it looks like I'll be watching this one from the sidelines.

Hey Chris

Sorry to hear about your bad luck again. Its beginning to look like without bad luck you wouldnt have any luck at all. Are the ears repairable? or is it new head time? We had better have another Waco get together, you havnt broke anything here yet, maybe we can change your unlucky streak.

Did the same thing to mine a couple years ago except it was #1 and #2. Welded them up and they have been holding just fine. Make sure you use rod with nickel alloy.

How did it break?

Take cast iron that is just a little over 150 degrees, then take it to about 1500 in 12 seconds, it tends to stress it just a tad. ;)
