Rugged individualist that I am, mine's in the lower left corner of the grille. I used a 1-1/2" (as I recall) brass tapered head 1/4"-20 machine screw with a fender washer that's sized to be almost flush with the tapered screw head of the bolt to bond to the grille badge, and another fender washer, a lockwasher and nut on the backside of the grille to hold it in place.
After roughing up the back of the grille badge with a sanding drum on a Dremel tool, I mixed up some Loctite 2-part epoxy and had a good puddle on the back of the grille badge. I then set the bolt with the fender washer over it in the puddle of epoxy, making sure that the surface of the washer that almost touches the back of the grille badge was covered in epoxy (lots of surface area!) After 24-36 hours of setting up, that sucker ain't a-going nowhere!
I put mine in the upper driver’s side grill so an approaching driver can easily see it. It fits neatly into the top curve of the grill. I attached it with a ¼/20 X 1&1/2 inch grade 5 bolt with a 1&1/2-inch washer and a plastic insert-locking nut. First I put the bolt in the center of the badge and marked around the head with a scratch awl. Then I made several deep scratches on the badge inside the out line of the bolt head. Then I used the awl to mark up the top of the bolt head. I used two part DEVCON plastic steel epoxy to attach the bolt to the badge. I used enough to cover the bolt head. Once the epoxy set up I pit the bolt through one of the holes in the grill and used the washer and nut to tightly fasten it in place. It won’t be easy to remove but if I have too I can and I can buy a new nut and reuse it on a new truck or grill if need be.
I put mine on the driver-side half in the lower left and used a Crazy Glue type adhesive. Been on now for 2 months, sitting in the sun all day, running in the 102-104 recent ambient temps and still rock solid.
