Im covered in grease as I type ,,,,,

First of all the Guid eon the TDR homepage is for 1994 and down CTD's I didnt read the fine print and started pulling the loom at the altenater ,,, My own DA Attack ! ... . the talk of the braded wires I thought was the O2 secone or what erver it is that enter the loom running across the fron tof the engine that started at the altenater... . as I was continuing down the line and removing the clamps and ect... all the way to the ecm and stripping the loom all the way 2 hrs later I re-read Page 39 of the new issue of TDR 52 ,,,, For 1 Thing this one Qouted Line from the TDR ... .

The correction we performed involved taking the twisted wires from the TPS to ECU out of the loom

Well My truck dont have a TPS or an ECU

Im assuming they mean APPS to the ECM

After alot of distress and bleeding hands I hope that this is what they mean .

They do talk about the alternater wire that runs threw this loom and down to the starter but the only main wire in this loom go to the Main Fuse box under the hood ... So I dont know what the heck there talking about ???????

Im going out now to remove my air horn and ff housing and ect and I hope that the grope of wires that are twisted togeter leaving the APPS goes directly to the ecm ,,,, and Ill segerate them and split loom thenm then put everything back togeter ...

Hell I was stripping oiff the loom from the Alternater to the PCM knowing that the PCM is what controls TC lock up 3rd gear shifts and ect... I have all the scematics of the PCM and was looking for where the APPS wires enter ..... and couldnt track them ,,,, and re read the TDR mag and seen they said ECU not PCM or ECM for that matter ,,,, But I hope they ment ECM

Well see

Cya in a few hours :{

Thanks Moose ! I had kenny remove the comp when he swapped out my Vp44 its sold and Im done with EDGE that was my 3rd box ;(

Just checking to see if some one was telling me NO NOT THEM WIRES before I put it all back together

I got the wires that are twisted isolated in split loom there was one spare light green wire that was wraped around it I split loomed the twisted wires indise the loops of the stray wire . .

Man them damn wire clamps are a PITA took me 15 mins to put the one back on thats behind the LP.

Im going to isolate wires that appear to be groped togeter also leading all the way back to the alternater just incase

I think running a new wire from the back of the alt, to the passenger side battery would do the same thing. No need to pull the harness apart.

There is no Wire Running From The back of the Alt , to the Pass Side Battery

I just wrapped the wire with the white stripe close to the rubber thing behind the alternator leading to passenger neg. battery cable(didn't proceed past the connector). I didn't separate anything. Two hundred miles later and working perfect. This problem had bugged me for months. Smart controller will override this problem, but sometimes I want the transmission to mimic stock performance i. e. surface streets.

My truck dont have any wires running from the pass negative to the altenater .

Just got back from test drive and 2-3 didnt Hunt at all :)

I hope its fixed fer good
