well its about 1:22 am, I gotta get up in about 5 1/2 hrs. I just got done with the new posts and had a brief thought about a "lifetime membership to TDR" now that would be nice!!

Im With Ya

It'd be $$$$$$$$$$$$

Maybe give away a free life time membership to the first person to reply to a life time membership thread

:>

Can I buy in online? :D Seriously, at the very least how about a 2 or 3 or 4 year subscription? It's a PITA to do it every year.

Life time membership

Great Idea, the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), NRA (everyone knows that one). Have lifetime membership fees based on AGE at time of membership.

TDR whatch think, Mine is up for renewal shortly!! :D

Idea

How about if we give one away each year? But what kind of "contest" could we have to offer such a valuable prize?

A yearly drawing of those who referred x number of new members. Makes every current member eligible providing they want to participate.

My . 02 cents.

Robin... Something to think about????

1 year at: $35

2 years at: $65 $5. 00 savings

3 years at: $90 $15. 00 savings

5 years at: $150 $25. 00 savings

I like Torques ideas about the extended yearly times. Would it mess up the renewal system though?

Robin- When is TDR/Geno's going to have a shirt with a huge TDR logo on the back and maybe "dodge makes it cummins shakes it" on the front?

AHHHHH back to work I go :{ thankfully its almost saturday!

TDR yearly membership is similar in price to the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) ham radio national organization membership. Their price structure is at http://www.arrl.org/join.html. I would expect that lifetime TDR membership would need to be about equal in price to the ARRL listed $975 to be commercially viable. I would seriously consider a life TDR membership, even at or near the $975 level.

It should be easy to justify a multi-year discount like one of the other notes above. TDR might also consider a method similar to Consumer Reports Online, auto bill a credit card each year unless specifically cancelled and offer a small discount price from regular.

Either way, I would very much prefer to do that than the yearly. Oh, and yes, my membership has officially expired so I don't have issue 47, but I keep meaning to stop by the TDR office to renew... . Thank you TDR for being lenient about the online access expirations, I wonder how long before you need to tighten that a bit more?

i agree. i also would think it could reduce paper work on members and on admin staff. i would surely renew for many years to come if i had the opportunity. also it could be a profit maker. think of the poor soles that would buy 5 years worth and only use 1 or 2 years worth because they sold there truck or something

Yo Yo TDR Fo Life Bee! Oo.

Really I Like that idea! Mark didn't you bring this up before?? Even without ANY savings it would still be nice to have the honor of being a Member with some brass. weather it be 5 10 , 15 , or even LIFE.

I like this too, and have brought it up before. But then I realized that the TDR won't be around forever, and certainly won't be around for the rest of my life, so what would be the point of a lifetime membership?

However, giving away a membership for the most referrals should be doable, and I also like the idea of reduced rates if you pay in advance.

I hope something comes out of this.

I think TDR will grow GREATLY with the diesel craze going now, yeah it will die off but there will always be the dedicated diesel dudes smoking out gassers.

Ian

i've owned a cummins since '91

i'll pay for a lifetime membership to keep this site and mag alive

it is by far the best source of info available for our trucks...

the local dodge garage actually calls me for info on these trucks

i know that they're going to start using a mercedes diesel in '08 but these trucks will be around for a while anyway

Is this rumor or fact? I know the current Cummins contract is through 07 but I don't remember reading anything about the plans for 08?
