If it can go wrong, it usually will. This is a great photo of the truck, but it should not have gone on the front cover.

Please take a look at the letter from the editor about the photography contest/calendar the TDR is producing.

This is your chance! Send us your very good photography.

I knew this thread was coming before I opened that issue.

It's a really nice picture but just knowing it doesn't have a CTD under the hood ruins it for me. Reminds me of issue 44.

I would rather see so-so CTD photography on the cover than professional gasser photography, JMO.

I looked and looked at that photo and thought it was a gasser. But, I remembered they tried this type debachle once before and got caught... . and surely they knew it wouldn't slip through AGAIN. :-laf

sad

I saw the cover of my latest issue and it made me want to cancel my TDR membership. This is the second time a gasser has landed on the cover of our DIESEL TRUCK journal. And this time it is a 1500! At least last time it was a 2500. I felt it insulting that the nice folks that publish the TDR mag think that putting a gasser 1/2 ton on the cover will be OK. Ugh. How sad. I hope there is a good excuse for this. People who pay to get a Dodge Cummins Diesel quarterly journal DO NOT WANT TO BE INSULTED BY A GASSER ON THE COVER! Heck, just get it over with and put a Pontiac Aztek on the cover. I'm sure that many fine TDR members would be more than happy to submit photos of their truck to have as possible cover photos. I'll go read my issue now, but I just had to rant a little bit. I hope a TDR Admin folks have learned that putting a gasser on the cover is a good way to loose subscribers. I love TDR and gladly pay the membership fee, but seriously considered letting it lapse when I saw a gasser grace our beloved cover for the 2nd time. Barf.

I'm off the soapbox now.

I never noticed. All I saw was a very-well focused Dodge P/U with the wheels/tires properly blurred and the foreground/background blurred. Technically, it is a very good picture. Truth-to-tell, I like seeing such great photography now and again, even though it might be a faux pax.

Robin, how about a picture of Chris Watson's tube-chassis pullin' truck on the cover? It's got a fine Cummins under its Ford shell. :)

Great Pix

Great photos. Submit them as potential cover photos or for inclusion in the TDR calendar we're working on (see Letter From The Editor).

Thanks, guys.

I wish I would have gotten this issue so I could see for myself all the rage! Admin, how long should I wait before I request another copy be sent out to me???

The "on the cover" pic description from the table of contents page also lists it as a 2006 mega cab... Sounds like a printing error/proofreading error to me. Oh well, it happens, no need to be cancelling subscriptions over it. Keep up the good work on the site and the magazine!

I'm With Ya , You Might Think That A Cover Of A Magazine Wouldn T Get By Them , Come On Now - A Hemi Truck And A 1500 To Boot, Maybe They Came Back From A Diesel Dyno Day And Had To Much Smoke On There Brains

DTT Flexplate?

How do you like it? I Emailed Bill Monday but didn't hear back from him yet. Tell me what you think. I need one now, trucks still down.
