Laptop in truck question

Hello from the desert

Hi y'all,

Just thought I'd drop y'all a line since they finally opened up internet access here to more sites.

First off, I'd like to thank you for your support since I've been gone, Sherry tells me about who posted what on a regular basis.

Next, I have an e-mail address. For those who want it, you can either request it from Sherry or Doc (I think he has it) and e-mail me whenever you want. I check it daily and welcome anyone's comments or support from home.

Finally, just to make things more bearable here, they gave me a bobtail for a shop truck. It's a 98 D2500 4x4 with a Cummins! :D

It's only a 110" wheelbase and only goes 35 MPH in third (the top gear), but it'll pull a building if I hook up to it. . LOL

Oh well, e-mail me if you have any comments or want a pic of me and my Gov't issued Cummins. :D :D I have better access to e-mail than internet.

Catch y'all later,

Joe

Great to hear from ya, Crash. Your boss is the greatest for letting you use his internet and email server for a while :)

Are they gonna let you modify that Cummins?

Doc

Freedom and Pride

Hi Doc and All Other Posters to This Form:

I served 3 year 10 months and 28 wonderful days in the US Navy and believe me, I am VERY proud of our service men and women. We should also be prepared to help and support all of the other indivuduals in this country who protect our lives and our freedoms. Policemen, firemen, 911 operators, National Gardsman and Paramedics (and other) should be honored and helped whenever they need our help. These people live to protect the freedoms we enjoy and our very existance.

One of the things that I believe makes our country so great is the fact that we celebrate freedom, love one another, protect each others children, work for a common good and can pray freely for guidence if we choose. If you have never traveled outside our country you SHOULD. To this day you will find places in ths world that will bring tears to your eyes when you see the poverty and corruption which exists. Until you have experienced it first-hand it might be hard for some people to understand why we must fight terrorism.

In closing, like the song says; 'god bless America... ' and if you need help protecting her, call me.

With War breaking out today, between the Israelis and the Palestinian, in the West Bank and Arafat's statement that he hopes the "Israeli operation will make him into a martyr" - We should be praying more diligently for our servicemen abroad, who may in the end be drawn into a wider conflict in the Middle East.

I want to say thanks to all the members who have emailed me since my recall to active duty. Two weeks ago my seven year old daughter brought me cards hand made by her classmates thanking me for "protecting (protekting) the coast and our home. " We are staying busy on the coast and being away from home is not pleasant for those in the US or abroad. Having you guys say thanks and say prayers means alot to those of us trying to work through this mess created by the terrorists. From me to you guys, I appreciate you all. To all the SETDR members on this page, I can't wait to hook up with you guys again at STP in Atlanta.

Very proud of my Brother-in-law

As an old Vietnam era Marine, I am very proud of my Brother-in-law. He is one heavy hitter. CWO US Army, Green Beret, special operations, specializing in counter intelligence (Military occupational speciality). Yes I can assure you we are in good hands. With guys like Dan on our side the "Terrorist" are the ones that need to be preying :D

As an old disabled veteran from the Korean War I am so very happy to see the support our troops are getting from the public now. It wasn't like that for the troops returning from Korea and Viet Nam. The Viet Nam returnees were met by hostile crowds that even spat on them. I Glad to see the difference now for our men in uniform. I also include the police and firemen as well. You guys are doing a great job.

Terrorism

At the risk at really sounding angry. It really pisses me off that we as a country don't give a damn about fuel mileage (CAFE Standards) as we can send the Army (Air Force , Navy) anywhere in the world to ensure the free flow of oil. As long as the Suburbans and the Ford equivalant can get their cheap oil who cares about world politics and the environment!

Americans are spoiled!!!

My neice is an F-16 fighter pilot in an air to air combat squadron. She recently did a tour patroling the southern no-fly zone in Iraq. She is currently back here in the U. S. undergoing further training.

She is scheduled to return overseas next month. All prayers would be appreciated. If things in Iraq get hot she can use all the help she can get.

Thanks,

Bob

THanks

. . for your prayers and support. I am deployed, and had to leave 2 months after getting married. I dated my wife over 2. 5 years, and it was a distance relationship after only 6 months. I am looking forward to coming home, whenever that may be.
