OFFICIAL Post Hooter Pics 'n Fun Stuff!

I just thought I'd post a "Thank You" to the TDR and Cummins for putting on a great event. It was a great to meet some new members and participate in the different events. The employees of the Cummins Midrange Engine Plant were great. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work. The test drive of the new Cummins Dodge was excellent(Very quiet). The driving events were a lot of fun (even won some $$Oo. Oo. ). The plant tour was also very well done. I hope that they will invite us back again soon. Well it's late, and I'm tired, so more details will follow...

I know what's really going on here John, you're just rubbing it in for those of us who didn't get to go. Oh suuuure, you've been having a great time  even won some money. Meanwhile, I've been trying to hold chat together here with Fest trying to talk computers and some of the other guys getting off on types of guns and stuff, I've hardly been able to keep it on the "appropriate" ;) subject matter. That's not even mentioning new guys showing up and wandering into channel TDR1 and not following directions how to get out and then booting themselves. Oh well, maybe now things can get back to "normal".

You should like this one Dan. . I was in the "Divorce Derby" with Fireman Dave(being that his wife didn't participate) and we took first place in our group! I have to admit though, that I was a little scared putting on a blindfold sitting next to him:eek:  .

I also attended the TDR National event.

What a great time!!!

The TDR members were invited to share with the Cummins employees the ten year anniversary celebration for building our engine at the CMEP(Columbus Mid-range Engine Plant).

We had the opportunity to drive four 2003 models. I drove a 3500 H. O. (305 HP, 550 FT PDS) 6 SPD 4X4 4 Door Dually.

At a local race track, we had a chance to bracket race among the members present. This was my son's favorite event. A local Ford 3500 4x4 had the nerve to challenge Dodge's/Cummins supremacy, but was soundly defeated!!!

The plant tour was the chance to see the new 2003 engine being built and to meet the people who designed and build the engine.

They are very enthusiastic about the new engine and their continued relationship with Dodge.

There were many quality seminars presented, such as the new

Bosch fuel injection system, vehicle maintenance by Dodge reps, and they even had a model of an actual drive train from the new 2003 truck on display. The seminars were held in the Holiday Inn convention room, it was a nice setup.

The rest of the event was held at the Ceraland RV Campground. This is a Cummins facility that has a campground, driving range, gun range, a gymnasium with indoor basketball courts and weight room, a go-cart course, swimming pool. The vendor fair was held in the gymnasium. There was a good assortment of vendors showing a range of products such as go-fast parts, fuel injectors, transmission upgrades, maintenance items, etc.

I have been able to attend all 5 of the TDR Nationals, once again I had a great time and was thankful for the opportunity to attend.

My son and I are looking forward to the next TDR National Event. Thanks to Robert Patton and the Cummins CMEP Employees for all their hard work!

Super Event!

Fellow Rammers:

What a blast! Driving the new trucks, meeting with old friends and making new ones, touring the Cummins plant, checking out the Rams new and old, particapting in events and yes, eating great food.

I have to admit the highlight for me and Viv was coming in second in our group for the divorce derby and winning the 2002 category show-n-shine with my new 3500. I never win anything and this was great.

Many thanks go out to Robert and Robin Patton, The Genos folks, all the vendors and especially our generous hosts from Cummins and Daimler-Chrysler. It was a first class event that I'm proud to have participated in.

The Mason-Dixon Chapter of the TDR did very well in the show-n-shine with Larry Willard garnering the 00/01 award, Pete Orndorf taking the 94 award.

Finally, what a great bunch of folks in the TDR. I've never been associated with a finer group.

Happy trails, Wiredawg

In the seminars there was a cab off truck so we could look it over.

The seminars was very informative, there was a speaker about dodge itself, the bosch systems, warrenty stuff and the common rail system overview. The last was the best as it had a animation on the pump of the High preassure pump for the system. There still is an Electric Lift Pump by the Filter. you can see it in one of the closeups I am posting. It is a Rotary style but still far from the tank:mad:

This is the HO 2003 Cummins. In the plant, we saw that under the black cap, there is a breather box for the blowby but the difference is, there is a return hose for drips to go back to the pan!! Where was this inovation on the 01??

This is my truck on display at the show and shine. this is my 4th showing and it is the first time i didn't get an award:{ oh well, 3 outta 4 aint bad i Guess... . ;)

TDR Nat's, a fun time

Yes, I had fun as well as my wife and two stepdaughters one of which drew my name for first place in the vendor bingo drawing that was Saturday night. Oo.

I want to thank Geno's and the TDR staff,Cummins, and all the vendors for making this possible. It was a pleasure to meet Robert Patton from TDR and John Kessler from the CMEP.

Very nice people and without them this event would not have happened. My hat is off to you all!

Just got home

I just got home yesterday. Hey... where did everybody go? I guess it's over?

Actually, we headed east from Columbus and spent the next week at the beach and on the boardwalk.

The Nationals was a great time. Robert - it was nice to meet you, and thanks for all of your hard work. You and your staff put on a very well organized event. It's cool to see how the TDR members and the Cummins employees have such a mutual appreciation for each other.

John - it was interesting that you and I took first in the Divorce Derby and bested your time with your wife. Too much time together in the chatroom?:p Hmm... . Just goes to show that I can drive blind, I guess.
