Truck description for posting

When THe Nextel Sprint Merger completes NEXTEL Will have the best coverage in america. IMO

I had a Verison for 3 days and I Hated it if you droped off one bar from full you was on roam !!!! My NExtel will work at no bars and you can still carry on a conversation. In bigger towns it seamed that verison has the strongest coverage but out of town the Nextel really reaches out and gets you through.

We're using i1000, i60 and i90's... . they all seem to have the same issues around here.

Sounds like a tower problem. We use i530s, i730s, and a few Blackberrys (what I use). The BB seems to pull in the best signal, then the i530, the i730 is the "cool" looking phone but has the worst signal. Have you contacted Nextel?

Hey Mark, if you still had a Nextel you could call J. R. every day and ask him where your turbo is!!! I am sure he would love that. :-laf By the way I got your turbo. Runs pretty good too.

What you running one of those GP Shwitzer's now?

Yeah it was nice to be able to have direct connection to JR, but I was sacrificing so much service while on the road because I have to travel through rural KY to basically ANY pull/or event I attend it wasnt' worth it. What if I broke down @ 2AM on the way home from a Pull I'd been SOL! :{

I'd rather pay less $$ for a verizon that has twice the amount of service that most of my friends have and only have to watch my minutes when I call those like JR or Piers. ;)

As much as Nextel has let me down... this point is quite true. Nextel is the best phone service IMHO in "marginal" signal areas. It might suck but at least you'll have service! :rolleyes:

I will continue to follow this thread and update my database. If anyone wants

to add to this your real name or email or phone numbers too please email me and I will put it in there. I will be glad to email this excel sheet to anyone that wants or needs it. It will be alphabetical according to online name first. Could be helpful for going out of town or in case of a break down.

Has anyone figured out a way to make a nextel phone work our U-Connect, yet?

Will the Jabra A210 work with the U-Connect system?

I'm getting the U-Connect in my new truck, I really don't want to get a blackberry just for that. Nextel is coming out with the Moto i605 sometime, but no one nows for sure when.

In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you may start to receive sales calls and you may be charged for these calls.

To list your number on the government don't call list, call this number from your cell phone ... 888-382-1222 and be ready to punch in your cell phone number on request.

You may view more information about the national DO NOT CALL list from a computer with internet access on http://www.ftc.gov/donotcall/ .
