The TDR servers have been upgraded. I started at 1:15 am (US Central time) and completed the upgrade at 4:15 am.

IMPORTANT: Due to running out of steam despite lots of coffee, any images you've recently uploaded may not show up. Please do not report this issue or re-upload them (it may cause duplicates). I will sync up new image files after I get some rest later today, so any missing images will show up then. \

If you see any other problems/bugs, please report it in this thread so I can easily find it.

The site should be faster now, but if it's not please note that I have not yet optimized the database settings for the new server and plan that for this weekend.

To anyone unable to access the site during the 3 hour downtime, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Lastly, and very importantly, I have been working behind the scenes to create a new template that will resolve the complaints users have had due to browser incompatibilities the current template causes. I expect this template to roll out within a week or so.

Get some sleep, we'll get by without the pictures today.

It seems faster already, I'll try a few things later that had been acting up before.

Mike.

Way faster and I actually am logged out when I log out. Before, when I logged out, most of time I still showed logged in under current active users. Thanks!

Nick

Awake now. :)

I'm rebuilding the search index. Robin let me know it's had issues not returning all results for some time (before the upgrade). I suspect at some time the search core index became corrupted. Rebuilding it takes about 20 minutes, search results may be slow and inconsistent until this is done.

Also, I realized I need to take some time to create a signature, otherwise I'm just a mystery admin.

Robin, Rob and I have known each other since the late 1990s. Timing with Steve was right - not in any bad way about him but what he says about it is his business not mine - just life stuff. Past few years I haven't been quite so busy after selling a business which overworked me, and had time available. So I was asked to step into the server role while Steve continues as lead admin/moderator. Don't expect to see me doing any moderation unless it's an issue needing immediate attention which Robin asks me to and Steve or someone else isn't available. My role is solely the back-end stuff on the site. I'll make a complete introduction post after I know everything about the upgrade is working 100%.

After the search core is rebuilt I'll work on syncing up images.

Update: Image files now synced up. If you see any missing/broken images from this point forward be sure to report it here and I'll take care of it.
