I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to the TDR staff. Thank You for operating this site in a professional manner at all times. It may be taken for granted by some of us, myself included, that professionalism is expected when operating a global website. Just in the last 2 days though I have realized that professionalism is not a prerequisite for website ownership. In an attempt to post a poll on another diesel enthusiast website, it was removed twice by the C. O. O. Each time he claimed I was violating the rules of operation of the site, and questioned my intelligence for not understanding them. He then proceeded to question my honesty for violating the Terms & Conditions that I agreed to upon membership acceptance. Upon re-reading all site guidelines and regulations, I realize that in fact ONE of us does have questionable intelligence. ;)

So again I say "Thank You" to all TDR staff and members for keeping this site as professional as it is. :)

Disclaimer: Specific names have been excluded to protect the guilty. :D

TDR has been around for a long time and will be here for many years to come. It is the gold standard. A few years ago I became aware of a couple of wannabe Dodge-Cummins websites when I read comments about them here in the pages of TDR.

After a year or so I finally visited one of them out of curiosity. IMO it was the junior high school version of TDR. I haven't been back and don't even remember the name of the wannabe free site.

I've got to agree with you. I too posted on another diesel site and had a post removed without an explanation. BTW I re-read to "rules" before and after posting and could not find any "rule" that was broken. I did not receive an explanation so I have chosen to "view" posts on that site very rarely.

I have been a member of this site for a long time and have always felt that TDR is as descibed by Harvey.

To TDR admin keep up the good work.

Yep, agreed. Never needed to go anywhere else. This site is the anchor. In my past membership experience with original anchor sites, the copy sites are usually renegade offshoots sprout primarily from ego. A person forms another group with the need for followers. Some have such a strong personal belief/agenda, that posts they don't 'like' mysteriously disappear.

Once you've seen the rest, you know why TDR is best.

I'm in agreeance. I've been on other sites, and for a long time, I've not been anywhere except here. I've recently ventured out to other sites, but got a quick reminder why I stay here..... While we may not always agree, most of us try to keep it civil here, keeping "Gentlemen's dissagreements" gentlemenly. I've met many people from TDR in person, and can't say I regret any of those meetings..... I've enjoyed the fellowship immensely. And I've met people from "other" sites, and I don't seem to have the same things in common... at more than one social gathering sponsored by "other" sites, I had to leave rather quickly, as nightfall seemed to produce a rapid degeneration of intelligence among the participants of the event..... that's never happened at the few TDR events I have attended in the past... ... . anything that has happened has been handled cooly and in a fair manner, IMO. The only problem I've EVER had with TDR was MY fault, and the TDR and their sponsors basically bent over backwards to accomodate ME!! (Still kinda feel like I owe you Robin Patton and Terry Wilson..... remember that if you come to Texas some time and need anything... . )

Yes, thank you TDR and staff. It's been a fun ride so far, and I bet it doesn't get boring any time soon!! :D

Your thread got deleted AGAIN!? I noticed it the first time, did not know they did that again. :(

Yes, I am a member of many forums truck and car forums (all Dodge related) and very few meet the TDR. In the truck world, none beat the TDR. I have had very few issues on forums, but the few I have had came from other sites. Never one on the TDR. All of the people I have met through TDR (close to 500) have always been very decent, respectful, and what I now call friends.

The other thing that I love from TDR is accurate info. Once read a thread on doing the rear bearings on a D70 and tq spec was told as right as you could go! Then people wonder why things break and fail. TDR is always good for correct info.

This thread should be a mandatory read for those who ask why pay for forums. Yeah, maybe come to think of it, if they have to ask... . ;)

Thanks again Pattons, staff, and moderators of the site.

Yes, I'll echo the comments above. This site is outstanding. We can agree to disagree, participate or not. It is an outstanding resource and place to share common interests. I have met several people from TDR and have to say they are Top Notch Folks!

If I was to divest myself of the Diesel Truck. The Shop and Shooting/Hunting Forums alone, are enough to keep me on board! Thank YOU! GregH
