Is the TDR subsription just for the magazine?

Just wondering if you do not renew does it affect your status on this site?

I think it's all or nothing. I know the money is required to start posting. Not sure if it takes money to keep posting. It's been the same price for over 12 years.

There are a number of website features that are for members only. Posting in the forums, viewing threads that have replies more than 7 days old, searching, etc - you can look at the menus at the top and anything in red is only for members. We are working on a digital only option which will give you access to the digital versions of the magazine and full access to the website for a reduced rate.

Subscription Status

Under this button I would think there would be a way to canx your subscription.

Are subscriptions automatic if you have a cc on file? I forget.

Not that I want to cancel but just curious to know how renewals and cancellations work.

Thanks

No, subscriptions are not renewed automatically - right above the subscription status button there is a subscribe/renew button which is where you go to renew.

Back to the original question, I have always believed that my $35/year is well spent on a TDR subscription. Many people spend more than that each week buying coffee or soft drinks in convenience stores.

I have always figured that my subscription is free. Even after being a member ten years($350), I am still way ahead. When I consider the deals I have found here, the knowledge and advice on doing things myself, and the members I have met, $35 dollars a year is a smoking deal. Looking forward to the next ten.

I fully agree Sam. My only concern is that I have a stack of TDR magazines that's piling up. They are too valuable to throw away but I rarely pick them up after reading them a time or 2. I now have about 6 years or so accumulated.

If there's anyone wants them and is willing to drive to Manteca, I'll give them away.

I know this is a stale thread but...
Steve, did this ever happen? I'd be interested in a digital only subscription. I let my subscription go a number of years ago as I had no desire to receive the magazine anymore and lets face it, and the 12V stuff had all been covered several times over. I recently received a complimentary subscription for blowing a wad at Genos and am enjoying what little 12V (and 24V cross over) stuff comes across along with some other topics but honestly I'll probably just let it go again once it expires. I'd be interested in a reduced rate to have forum only or forum/digital mag. access and not receive the magazine in the mail. Don't get me wrong, I think the magazine is well done and offers a lot, just doesn't appeal much to my interests these days.

Woodenhead, thank you for your post.

We have introduced a digital edition that is working very well. However, we are still troubleshooting some distribution bugs on the digital edition. Until we have that resolved, we will not offer a digital only option. We don't want to risk selling that option then failing to consistently deliver the digital links in a timely fashion.

We've published three issues digitally. Issue 81, 82, and 83, and they are receiving great feedback.

Give us a little more time to troubleshoot the remaining email distribution issues.

Thank you for your support of the TDR.

Hey Robin, my truck even made Issue 83 page 24! Way to go. You did mail the coupon from Fiat for a free truck, right? Because the one that showed up today was for only $500 off? Maybe you grabbed the wrong one?

You could call the electronic option, the "Snoking Snowbird Option" as you know I have been asking about that for years now!!
