How accurate are the temp readings between a normal gauge/pryo and what the juice (or hot juice) moniter shows? My buddy's claiming it's hard to get to 1300 with the Hot Juice on 5, pryo pre-turbo (between 3&4), it's a stock 600 except intake & straight pipe. I'm thinking it should be hotter then that. I'm a right? I just don't want anything to happen to his truck if the readings are inaccurate. Should he still put in an aftermarket temp guage? Thoughts?
 
I can't answer that question but I will say that the Attitude pyro compared to a SPA pyro is very different in speed response. I guess I would expect that with SPA being top notch. The EGT gauge in my 03 was super responsive and fast where a friend of mines 03 with Attitude seems sluggish in comparison.



I too would be interested to know how a good quality gauges matches up with the Attitude.
 
My Attitude EGT readout is about 25* hotter than my Autometer pyro guage. It is installed pre-turbo about an 1" closer to #5. #5/6 suppose to be hotter so it is pretty much the same.



Ok, if your buddy has the Attitude pyro sensor installed what is the max EGT set at. It may be defueling and keeping the EGTs low because of that. With air intake and exahust I would see 1350-1400 with the Hot Juice on level 4 and 5. But the Juice actually does a good job on keeping EGTs low. Much better than some other boxes I have tried. With my II SPS66 turbo, I can run the HOT Juice on 5 and the EZ stack on 3 and not get over 1300* at the drag strip.
 
That's the thing, it doesn't defuel unless he's towing heavy. Then he can get it to defuel. I think he told me he has it set at 1400. But no weight, WOT, leve 5 never hit 1300. Stock turbo. Might be me but it doesn't sound right. I just want him to be careful.
