i have a 92 D250 cummins,16cm housing, banks exaust, auto trans,354rear,80k miles. in the center section of the temp gage there is 4 marks. does anyone know which mark is consided in the danger zone for running too hot. my trucks temp needle stays just to the left of the 2nd mark when running unloaded, but when pulling my 5th wheel it sometimes goes beyond third mark, especially when pulling long hills. which mark is considered too hot?

From what I can remember...

If the needle is in between the 2nd and 3rd mark. That is 180*. The 2nd mark is around 160* and the third mark is around 205*. The fan should kick on around 208*. If I remember correctly.
