Got a question, I've got a '97 with 127k miles and I noticed today that the temp gauge, once warmed up, will drop down to the bottom of the normal zone (150F?) within about 5 seconds, then slowly climb back up to about 185F to 190F over the course of 30-45 seconds, then it'll stay there for a few seconds and the cycle starts all over again. Somehow I don't think my engine is cooling off that much that quickly and that often.

Has anyone else had this happen? Maybe a bad ground or temp sensor? It always drops down to the exact same temp. I'm not super concerned about it as long as the upper temp it reaches is accurate, but at this point I don't know. Thanks! Love the truck (and the gas mileage!)
