Temp Sensor for 6spd

Does anybody know if the OEM trans temp sensor can be used to run a gauge? Can I T into the stock wiring and run the power to my gauge and get a reading without setting any fault codes? If not how do I hook up a temp gauge to the 6spd trans?

You could always mount it in one of the PTO covers. Just drill it out and use an add on trans drain plug kit. It will have the correct size threads for the temp sender.

Or add Fast Coolers, they have ports for temp sensors
