I have a Compass Temperature Modual on my 99 Dodge Truck. I noticed the Temperature changing erratic and staying about 4 degrees higher than the True Temperature. Can you tell me where the Sensor is located and how to get to it? Thanks.
Thanks for your help. Last year i checked it with a thermometer driving down the road with it stuck out the window on the shady side of the truck and it was with in 1 degree, So I think the thing worked good untill the last few weeks. I thought there might be some dirt on it or something like that. Does anyone know for sure where the sensor is?.....
On my truck it's almost behind the driver's side headlight on the radiator support. It's the only thing there with wires going to it. New one is about $20 from dealer.
On my '99 it's attached to the rear of the grille assembly, about halfway between the top and bottom of the grille behind the center piece. It's about an inch and half long with a small wire bundle coming out of it. My winter shields play heck with its accuracy. It reads about 10 degrees high with them in place as previously stated. Hope this helps.
