When I picked up my new Ram 3500 from Lithia Dodge last month, it was plastered with advertising for their dealership. License plate frames, and inserts, even a plastic Lithia trailer hitch cover. Well, my first order of business was to get rid of all of it, but then I got to looking at the rather cheezy temporary mudflaps that they had installed with the big Lithia sign on the aluminum weight part. Since I knew that I was going to be ordering custom mudflaps for my big Ram, I decided that I would leave the Lithia flaps on temporarily while I wait for my really cool Ram Cummins flaps from NW Mudflaps. So..... I took the Lithia flaps off the truck and removed the aluminum plates that say Lithia. (Had to grind off the rivets to get them off). I turned the plates around so that the blank side shows and reattached them with pop rivets. They look pretty good. Should hold up till I get my new, way cooler ones.

Oh come on JEgan! You're a Lithia guy through and through and you know it! Don't be so shy about it! I can just see you waving the Lithia Dodge colors in your home town and becoming the celebrated Lithia Poster Boy of Newcastle Washington :-laf :-laf :-laf

I think I got a pretty good deal from Lithia, but it was not a real pleasant experience. I had to battle them all the way. One scam that they tried to pull on me was to add an extra $200. to the deal for "B&O tax". This came up right at the end of the deal as we were closing. I asked the sales guy why in h... I should be paying "their" B&O tax and he said he would "waive" it in this case. It was just another scam to get an extra $200. It put a sour taste in my mouth for Lithia, that's for sure. Other than that, and with the help of all the good/great info I have gotten from this forum, I think I got a good deal. Would never have been able to without it though. The dealer has all the cards in most cases. Bottom line is that I love my big bad ram truck. My wife loves it and my grand kids love riding in it. But you wont find any reference to Lithia on it.
