Ideas, suggestions for a simple "temp" connection for a dyno run for kicks? Going to dyno again on Jan 27th... ... would like to see if I can crack 525hp... ... . (475hp on #2 alone is my goal).

Ideas for a quick connection?

Put a jet on the end of a hose and put it in the turbo intake hose, no aircleaner on. If you have the stock airbox you can stick it in the airbox, but if scotty or other no-airbox set up you have few options that have no drilling or permanent mods. Run a little propane in there too while you are at it, might be able to pull 600 with both. If you are using drugs you might as well go full out:D

you stole my idea

i was planning to dyno with a little juice on the 27th too.

I am working on a water/alky injection system too. but i dont think i will have my highpressure pump in time. so i was going to run the fogger nozzle into the intake tube (preturbo) for my water and then hide the bottle and NOS hoses so you guys wouldnt see it. I guess the cats out of the bag now.

you will need a cheater NOS solenoid, an adjustable balkamp switch that can handle up to 35-40PSI (NAPA Part #7011575) and of course a bottle of the good stuff.

start off with about a 55-60 jet and see what you get :D have it come on at about 25-30PSI

see you later (27th)

actually just the opposite. if you have alot of fuel going in (big injectors and big fueling box), you may have to turn it back a little to make room for the NOS :D

Well if your using a fogger nozzle for the juice than that fuel side is going to be empty... . ummm why not squirt some DIESEL in there :D a T between the VP44 and the Filter down to the nozzle. The lift pump will supply more than enough PSI to squirt an ample amount of diesel in.

Hmmmmm of course this would have to be done post intercooler... anyone ever done this?? :D

More Nitrous!!

More Fuel!!

Heres what John (Floor It) was thinking on this matter... ... . (its his bottle) :

"I thought of drilling a hole in the end of the K&N filter and using a fitting that russell braided hose makes that sandwiches in the end of the filter and hooks up to the #4 hose off the bottle and then as the dyno run is started just crack the bottle open a little bit"

Believe it or not the turbo doesn't move enough air to keep the nitrous pulling in. I recall a few weeks ago standing next to a ram on dyno switching a solenoid on at the battery :D. It worked a little but you could see the juice coming from the air cleaner still. . so the motor was not getting all of it. Those bottles can move alot of air. I bet I can crack one open in my driveway and blow the leaves around in the nieghbors yard lol.

Wish I knew somebody that has a NOS bottle for this weekend

I would think that just taking the airfilter hose off, and running with no airfilter and shooting it ito the turbo would work, like LSMITH said.

Wish I had a bottle for when I dyno this weekend, doubt my transmission could hold it together though.

BADfish, first of all, it would polute the MAP and AIT sensors. secondly we have enough diesel. we need an oxygenator. (NOS)or hotter BTU fuel of some type. per specific weight.

Kat and others. you will need some way of metering the flow of NOS or you will start popping and ultimately kill the engine, with too much. remember those runs only last about 13 seconds.

for 13 bucks you can get the old "blue" style nozzle from NOS and then jet it accordingly.

no on second thought, you guys show up with the Red Green setup and i'll be there with mine :D

that show kills me(The Red Green Show). reminds me of myself :D

This would have us useing duct-tape to put the jet in the Airbulldog hood so it will goto the airfilter. All of this being exposed in the open for all to see our wonderfully creative idea.

LOL

the only and I admit the only reason I cant see why not to inject more fuel directly is timing. You have absolutely no way to time the ignition of the fuel. So it can ignite with the piston half way up and then again with your conventional injection. Might be catastrophic right Jim. I would suggest to anyone trying this you better start small. I mean really small to see what happens and if you truely brave step it up with jets. I's start as small as a #20 jet at most.

On the nos I run a proshot cylinoid. I ran a 42 jet for years but have since increased to 73 and now a 82. I don't really think the proshot can flow more than the 73 jet but I can tell you that I ran a 12. 99 with the 42 then went back the next week with a 73 and ran the 12. 67 so it did increase my power. I also have a photo of my truck going throught the lights with just barley a haze coming out of my pipe.

Good luck and happy bombing.
