Test Drive

Took an '06 for a test drive for the first time yesterday. That G56 is nice... but I was wondering... is it necessary to start out in first gear, or can I start in second without hurting the transmission? It takes FOREVER to get rolling if you start in first.

The only time I ever start out in 1st is when I'm dragging my fifth wheel, have a load, or starting out on a very steep grade. When I'm empty, I always start out in 2nd... .
