Test port on an '03? Hard to start issue..

Trying to get some info for a friend in that I need to find out if '03s have any test ports to check fuel pressure quickly like the 2 gens do... (I don't have access to his truck to be able to tell)



He is having a hard to start problem we are trying to diagnose, where it sometimes take 5-6 sec of cranking before it starts. Any idea?

No test port on 3rd gen. Dealers have a banjo adapter.

Takes longer start

The common rail engines do take longer than the 2nd gens. I believe this has been mentioned before. It has to do with building pressure in the rail and getting it to the injectors. Unlike the 2nd gens where each injector is connected directly to the pump.
