i though my comp box was going so Edge sent me another one,



... old box on 5x5 40lb boost egt 1400... @ WOT

... new box on 5x5 35lb boost egt's 1200 ... @ WOT



the truck seems to pull the same with both boxes but it's hard to tell,

the truck still seems to be low on power compaired to when the box was installed 3 months ago,. . and i have No codes!



F/P is 15 @ start up, 12 @ cruz, 8 psi @ WOT

anyone have any ideas why is seems to have lost some power?
 
Fuel pump wire soddered ??? IF NOT It might slowly be cutting thru the pump wire and lossing wire volume for power transfer.

Not sure why the fp hasnt droped... ... ... maybe where the gauge is tapped its not picking it up after all you'd have to tap between the LP and IP to see these changes right???not sure on that.
 
GrD to BATTERY ALSO THAT SEEMED TO FIX ALOT OF PEOPLES PROBLEMS WITH THE COMP.



I think Ive read every thread tdr has ever had with the word comp in it ..... LOL

your getting 40psi on the stock 01' auto turbo ?????WOW



I better get the 60 psi boost gauge instead if the 35 psi

you should see the same thing my wastegate is slamed shut thats another reason iam getting such high boost

my gage only goes to 35lb of boost but it will peg the gage

IF the swapping out of the control box was *ALL* that was changed, concerns and speculations over other undisturbed portions of the original installation are an exercise in futility! ;)



And it would be HIGHLY coincidental that other issues would suddenly surface if ONLY the box was swapped out!



My first Comp failed, and MY replacement behaved consideraby different than the first - same version and all...



Dunno if that was because the first one was defective from the start, or variances of various internal Comp components was the cause, but the second box comes on MUCH stronger in the lower settings than the first one - tho' power, boost and EGT in heavy towing remain the same as before in the upper settings (5x5).



All *I* swapped out was the control box, no changes anywhere else...
 
i do understand the different boxes, not all boxes are created equal, but the issue is still the lack of power from when the first box was first installed the EGT's use to go through the roof now it takes 5x5 on the box and WOT for a while to even hit 1300deg. and before i could hit 1300deg at half throttle

so i dont think it's the box !! but what else could it be?
