So I searched and searched for the thread that shows how to test the map sensor to no resolve. Can someone tell me how to test? I thought it was something like pull your map connector and drive it and if there is no performance difference, the map is probably good.

Can anyone expand on that?

Thanks,

Ken

The best to test your MAP is with a scan tool

First disconnect any foolers. Then read the MAP pressure with the scan tool, key on engine of. It should read atmosphereic pressure. The next test will test the sensors calibration. You will need to have a boost gauge hooked up. Start the engine, power brake a little, build a little boost see if the boost gauge matches what the scan tool is reading. If it matches your MAP is probably fine. If you dont have a scan tool its hard to run a good test. Merv
