FYI,

Texaco Extended Life Coolant (TELC) has been approved by Cummins as a factory fill antifreeze/coolant for "ISB" and "B" series Cummins engines. I think this is a significant development because of the greater availability and lower cost of the Texaco Extended Life Coolant verses the Cummins Fleetgaurd brand.



The announcement was made and signed by Mr. Robert J. Weimer, Vice President-Quality, Cummins Engine Company. (The TELC is also available in a 50/50 premixed solution. )

Also approved for ISC and C8. 3G+ (Natural Gas).



Starting a 100 unit run next week that gets the extended life coolant.



If you convert, make sure to flush as much of your conventional anti-freeze from the cooling system as possible. They will not honor the warranty if you exceed a fixed percentage of conventional coolants. (Sorry, don't remember the numbers off hand. )
