Hope none of the TDR members or their family, friends from Texas were involved, hurt or worse in the BP Refinery explosion?

I don't know of any members that work out there in the plant.



Our shop is only a couple of miles away from the plant is it felt and sounded like a Peterbilt drove through the building when the initial explosion hit. Scared the bejeezus out of me. The whole place shook, it was something else.





We've heard of 15 confirmed deaths and over 100 injured. Several of hte injured were from surrounding houses that experienced broken windows and other damages incurred during the blast.

Seen it on the news that was a bad deal. Sure hope the one's injured are not too serious. May God bless the deceased and the injured.

I cought a little blurb about that on Fox News last night. How big was that plant? It looked very large to me. Is that (Texas City) where there was a huge refinary fire back in the early 1900's?

I believe you're thinking of the freighter that blew up there in 1947- took out about 1/3rd of the town.

It is a huge plant provided by the news account here 3% of US gasoline. Fuel spiked 3-5cents the day after here.
