Thanks, TDR Staff

2001 Texas Rally was Great!!

Texas Rally images are posted here!

The Latest I have

Truck count is up to 111.

Macs R. V. is going to supply soft drinks & ice for this event,(along with a nice door prize), he also will provde the tickets (w/stubs) for door prizes. Curtis had suggested that we look for a truck stop nearby & hit them up for a discount when we drive a hundred or more trucks in to top off!!I thought that was waaay cool, but I have not located a truck stop. Anyone know of one?

I forgot to mention it yesterday but, Standard Transmission will be there with a display and some good information about the 5th gear nut we love sssssoooooo much.

Thanks guys.

Well, once again the powers that be are keeping me from meeting Bill K among others:( I will not be able to make it due to my grandmother having some medical problems, so I need to go see her. I guess its just a part of getting old, but I still wish those things didn't have to happen. Anyway, you guys have a great time and drink a cold one for me!

ON THE ROAD!!

Is it just me or does everyones truck run even better when you are headed to a truck rally. ! ????

I am in Phz Az picking up some Kwikspool Turbos and parts then I am headed south towards Texas in the AM..... Anyone else be on I-10 headed the same way??? I will be on the CB channel 19... If anyone happens to hook up with me lets go to Channel 24... ..... See Ya All Tomorrow night at the campground... ... . PS... What is the best Radar detector for sell these days??? :D KwikKurt :D

question on directions

Coming from austin (cedar park) i can take 290 to 87 down to ih10 or 290 to 16 straight to ih10... sh16 looks like a twisty road, anybody have any firsthand experience which is best when towing a 5'er??

ps. . kwikkurt, a valentine 1 cannot be beat

D Murdock

Hwy. 16 from Fredericksburg is your best bet. There are curves but you won't have any trouble making good time--good road. It is about 20 miles to I-10 then 7 miles west to exit 501. If you take Hwy. 87, you will hit I-10 in Comfort and will still be 20 miles from Kerrville.

Early AM run from Big D

A few of us are headed down from Dallas at 0400 in the morning. I noticed a post about monitoring CB19. I guess its a little late for this we are planning on using channel 6. 4 wheelers use 4 when out on the trail since they are 4wd. I thought 6 would be appropriate since our engines 6 cyl. Looking forward to getting there and if anyone sees us out on the road give us a call. Be in a 2K1 silver 2500 QC 4x4, 2K driftwood 2500 QC 4x4 w/ 5er, 2K patriot blue 3500 QC 4x4, and maybe a black 3500 4x4 w/ 5er.

HYDE

Hey there HYDE, one of my friends is not going to be able to go, so it will be Me, and My 16 year old Friend,, His Name Is Justin Ward, He's cool. Looks Like I'll be in the area around 4p. m. Are you still planning on washing the trucks? I am going to vacuum and armor all the inside here in Laredo, and HOPEFULLY, hook up with you to wash the outside.

Sound okay?

Hittin' the road Friday AM with 30' TT

Picked up the "rental" today, a Play Mor 30'

with one slide-out, about 7,400 lbs. Pulled

it from Katy to Conroe TX in somewhat heavy

traffic. . geez some of them are plain idiots!

Made it home with no incidents. Cleaned and

loaded the goods today.

Look for a white 2500 4x4 QC/SB (see pics below).

I'm gonna make a sign and put it on the back of

the Trailer, something like LSTDR Cummins RAM

Rally or BUST! I will be monitoring CB 19 and

ham radio VHF 146. 520 MHZ.

Hopefully I will be able to access the internet

from the trailer so I can upload the images I

take while at the rally to this website also.

See you fellas and gals tomorrow!

Sure can! I'm in spot 6080. My cell won't get

a signal here for some reason. If my white Ram

is here then knock on the door; unless I'm at

the breakfast/lunch/dinner lacale. .
