Omaha Gang - Next Meeting???

I know a lot of people have been waiting for this so here we go.

This year the rally will be held on October 25th through Oct 27th.

The location will be the Guadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville TX. As in the past, there will be a few vendors showing their products and offering their knowledge. I’ll update this post in the future as to who will be attending the rally this year.

The campsite we’ve chosen this year has a large 6000 sq. ft. air-conditioned facility for our use as well as a covered outdoor facility. If we have the same weather we had last year, the out door facility will be great.

We will need a pretty accurate head count for the rally this year because the lunch will be provided this year. We also have plans for a live band on Saturday evening. I should have a registration form online in the next day or so on the LSTDR website. This year we will have a registration fee of $5. 00 per adult, kids 15 and under are free. This can be pre-paid or paid at the rally.

This year’s rally is gonna be even better than last year so I hope to see everyone there.

Many more details to some

Neither. This is the place Okie and some of hte other guys go camping in the spring. It's only a few miles from Buckhorn Lake, but from what I've been told, it has much more shade and it's right on the Guadalupe River.

Campsites are 18. 50 for a regular site and 21. 50 for a river site. You can make your reservations by calling them at 1-800-582-1916 and tell them that you are with the Lone Star TDR group. Unfortunately all the cottages are reserved that weekend but there are a few hotels nearby in Kerrville.

We will also have about 3 2003 Dodge Ram HD's with the Cummins available to drive at the Rally.

Of all the weekends!!!      Did my wife talk you into this weekend so I wouldnt spend any more money on Bombs?

That weekend I will be at the largest and toughest Sniper Competition of the year. This time it is in Fort Worth. There will be 40 teams from all across the USA, and winning this one will be like winning the tripple crown since my team mate and I have won the last two Sniper matches in a row.

Y'All have fun. I guess I will have to vent my anger and frustration out on the little steel targets :)

I was going to mention that in my first post, but I didnt want to steal your thunder. Dont you ever delete any pictures? I have a digital camera NOW, so you have been warned. :D You missed the best shot. Everyone standing around laughing

I look forward to seeing a picture of this years victim. Piers really is good at that knock thing... ...

Reservations??

Curtis,

I called for reservations and the guy was a little confused. Said you had blocked out 60 sites, but he took my info any way. Perhaps he expects you to do that planning?????He also said that none of the blocked out sites were on the river.

Any way, I plan to be there.

Gitch put this too close to deer huntin time. By that time my trailer will more than likely be at the deer camp. Season will open the next weekend so will need to have the trailer at the farm set up for opening weekend. He and I talked about late Sept. or early October to avoid this kind of complication for we hunters. Will have to see what kind of fanigglin I can do, this will be tough.

Okie, I have some 'huntin $ for you, but you have to come to the Texas Ramboree to get it... ... ... ... ... ... .....

Thanks, Barry. I have had a couple of e-mails already about wanting to make this a week earlier. This would give people a chance to go to the rally and use their trailer then take em to the deer camp the next week. Ok guys, I said it now it is up to someone to make the move. I am sure as big as the park is they could handle it. There is time to do this if it just gets done. Now we will have to wait and see if anyone else will see it this way. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Cool,

Now I just have to decide if I'm gonna rent an RV and stay overnight, just make a day trip out of it... ... or just get me a room at a hotel for Saturday night, be easier than renting and towing a trailer in...

:D: :D: Made my reservation today. Looking forward to seeing everyone again Will be me & my bride & at least 1 dog. Oo. This works out very well for us as the previous weekend is reserved for our Texas travellers annual rally & election of officers. This year it will be at Fredricksberg, so I get to tow in central Texas on consecutive weekends. Oo. Life is good. Oo.

I'm sorry if not everyone is OK with the date. Tha fact is this is the only weekend I can do this rally. I would like to have everyone come to the rally this year, but we know that is impossible.

If your camper isn't available for the rally, there are several hotels in the area. I'll get a list of the hotels and supply phone numbers and website address if available.

That the only other suggestion I can offer.
