Omaha Gang - Next Meeting???

A Big Thanks for The Texas Rally

Just got home, had to leave early so I could be at work tonight. Had a BLAST!!!!

Great tech secision from Peter @ Southbend, he told us about how "size DOES matter in regaurds to imput shafts", and about double roller balls. :-laf ;) :D

Jim Fulmers twins are a blast to drive!!!

That "Other kinda turbo" truck left me speechless. :--)

The design for the new DTT wolf pack shirts was... .

drice... ... he's ok

charlen - thanks for the sodas!!! ;)

I won a Scotty II, with the aFe filter. I put the filter on, and didn't put the housing on. :D

Andrew

:D: Kinda hard to picture you speechless. :D: Was a great rally--the weather was not the best but did allow for outside activities. Curtis & crew did 2 KDP fixes on Sat. Lots of black smoke trails leaving the campgrond. Many big smiles on the faces of those who drove the '03 2500 that Curtis brought. (Thanks to Bossier Motor Co) A very warm & hearty thanks to Barry (from towing forum) for the food. (for those who do not know; Clear Lake Dodge flaked out on Curtis on Tues) Barry, you never cease to impress me with your caring demeanor. You are a true friend. :)

Hey Guys,

Just getting settled in here.

Despite the drizzly weather, we had a great time.

Peter, it was great to finally meet you and hear some great stories of the other events. BTW, Peter does a great Piers impression. He also knows clutches like no one else. That was some great information he shared on Saturday. Thanks you Peter.

I'd also like to give a BIG THANKS to Barry Millet with Auto RV Exchange. I called Barry with a big problem. Clear Lake Dodge, who promised lunch, trucks and entertainment, backed out at the last minute. I called Barry on Tuesday evening and explained everything to him. Folks, within 5 minutes, we had Bossier Country on the phone and they had a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 with the new Cummins waiting on me Wednesday morning. Barry also told me to treat the guys to lunch on him.

Barry, I can't thank you enough. You helped make this a great event. Your good people Barry.

I'd also like to thank Michael and Pam Watkins(MDW), My wife Andrea, David Cox, and Joe and Cory Pazdera(GotDodge), Andrew(TDK), and his better half Alison, Jim Humprey(Rd. Runnr)and everyone else. These guys and gals really worked to make everything run smoothly. You have my thanks. It seemed like everyone there pitched in and helps in some way. Thanks guys.

I'd also like to thank the sponsers and vendors that participated this year,

Mac's RV and BD-Power

Aquamist Water Injection Systems

Scotty Air and WildCat Diesel

E. T. Performance

ATS diesel

Edge Products Inc.

Royal Purple Oil

SouthBend Clutch

Bossier Country Dodge

Auto RV Exchange(Barry Millet)

These companies make these events happen.

The weather actually cleared up enough to do a dowel pin fix on Bill Lins' and Jim ALdridge's trucks. I'd say we had them both done withing a few hours. That is one slick jig CPFF has built for us. Good to see two guys that don't have to go through what I've gone through with the KDP.

I had a great time this year. Next year I'll order better weather:)

Now it's time to clean out the rented RV and borrowed truck. :{

I'll can tell ya now, Bossier Country has a customer for life. I'm putting the dually up for sale and buying one of these 2003's Great truck.

OK children gather around for brief history of TDK's posts... .....

another $0. 02,

Andrew

and then we have... .....

add some free stuff to the mix and last but not least... ... drum roll... ... ... ... .

You can tell it sucks WAY MORE air then that BHAF(NAPA 2790).

Andrew

ROTFLMAO:-laf :-laf

Dan, Dan, Dan, you KNOW Andrew can't install power mods the way there suppose too, he might get HP that way:eek: :p

Just playing with ya dude, couldn't make the rally so I had put in my 2cents... ... thanks for the ammo, LOL. Glad you had fun and got some free stuff out of deal, wish I'd been there.

Glenn

God I crack myself up sometimes.....

Glen,

I have done a little research on the aFe/K&N/BHAF, and have been thinking about getting a aFe to try it. Well I won it! Now if I could just find a rally that was giving away a DTT transmission!!! :D ;)

Dan,

I think it sucks more (air) if you leave the housing off. :D

drice,

Alison would say hi, if she had a voice!!! :-laf . Had a blast with ya man!!!

Jim,

Yeah it is hard to think of me being speechless aint it? I'm just so full of great information though!!! ;) :D

Gary,

Ask Ms Daisy about Dean's turbo on his truck, Peter(Southbend) and I BOTH were pretty impressed.

Andrew

Andrew,

Know how you feel, my BHAF was done and I went with the AFE Magnum Force and I ain't sorry. Damn wished Icould have made it down there, They need to start planning rallys on Mondays and Tuesdays... ... ... . I'll hold my breath;) ;) LOL:{

Don't think I haven't thought of it. When the dates and place comes up for next year, I'll seriously look into it. I know I can at least get 2 other Ram/Cummins owner with me on it too. That would be freakin' cool.

Maybe I could get a vendor to help with the cost in exchange for some aerial advertising, any takers? Banners, flags, smoke, the works. Possibilities are endless. OK it's a plan! I'll see what I can do for next year.

Glenn

I have to say I had a blast!! I learned alot from Peter, Loved the ride in Jim's and Dean's Trucks, Got a good laugh at the "Hillbilly of the Year" awarded truck (See me for pageant winner's pictures), and just wished the weather could have cooperated a little more on our side. I am still trying to figure out where this EDGE box is going to be mounted, because I do not want to drill any holes in the dash! :-laf

-Andrew: You now know that anytime you see Chris Harlan there is always, uh, er, Sodas on ice, and you know what the ice chest looks like!! Just help yourself! :D Thanks for the Scotty II Too man... YOU ROCK! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next event!!

Funny, I was under the impression your girl friend won the Scotty II... And after the comment about the "hot air" I am shocked, shocked that she would even speak to you, let alone give you HER filter. :D

A big thanks to Peter for the 50% off door prize on a South Bend clutch. I was quite surprised to hear my number.

Thanks to all that made this event happen on such short notice, under difficult circumstances and with the conflicts of other events scheduled and canceled. It was a huge effort, my hats off to ya'll all. No names cause I'd forget someone.

I don't think anyone can imagine Andrew speechless;) and it definitely wasn't the case when he was in the truck  Thats ok, gives him more to think about. TDK, how do you sleep at night?

Audrey (my sponsor) and I had a wonderful time even with the weather and are looking forward to next years event.

Dean, tell Audrey that she is a team player to put up with us :D

What is the link to the LSTDR so we can look for some pics? TDR version doesn't work.

Jim

P. S. Blew a heater hose yesterday testing, figure the odds on that happening 1/2 mile from the house after a 1000 mile trip;)

I don't have any pics to post on the LSTDR site yet.

if everyone that took pictures at the rally would e-mail them to me, I'll get them all posted together.

Send them to -- email address removed --

Jim, the LSTDR website is www.lstdr.org
