For those that missed it, there was a bunch of wrenching going on at Grandpappy's place today.
After breakfast, where we had pancakes about the size of a clutch plate, we caravaned to his place where there was plenty of room to park and a heck of a nice covered concrete pad to tear some trucks apart.
I'm afraid I don't remember who owned the dually getting the injectors , EZ, gauges and exhaust but he was a heck of a happy fella after taking his totaly different truck for a ride. It might have looked the same but it sure did run different.
I finally got my 3K governor spring kit and my SouthBend ConOFE.
Okie, your gonna like the way that clutch drives. The pedal pressure is nice and soft. Much softer than the stock clutch. Not being able to really test it is gonna kill me, two weeks huh... .
Big John got his new stainless 4" exhaust, and exhaust brake installed as well. It sounded great just sitting there idleing.
If there was anything else done, I don't know about it. Most of my time was spent getting intimate with the inner workings of the ol P pump and that thing behind the engine... ... oh yeah, the transmission.
We also Bar-B-Qed some yard bird(chicken for you Northerners), sausage, and hamburgers. There might have been a beer or two drank as well.
Just wanted to give a big ol thanks to Grandpappy for the great place to work and the use of his air tools and all the other stuff.
Mike, Dave and Andrew, thanks for the help with that transmission. We'll have to get together and have lunch,... ... on me.
It was good to see everyone, and I hope we can do it again.
BTW, Mac took a bunch of pictures, I should have them on the site soon.
