Carlisle All Truck Nationals

Central Fla. June 16th meeting

Let me be the first to say thank you to everyone involved in making this event happen. First rate job guys. My only regret was that I couldn't stick around for Sunday.

Lurch

EKarr,

i'm with you it was great to see all the Dodge Cummins, Ford Powerstrokes and 1 Duramax Trucks. i think they were all out numbered by the DODGES. the pulls were great to. me and wife left before the modifieds started. we left for home sunday morning.

Glad you enjoyed the fun, EKarr. I've been patiently waiting to hear how it went. I was unable to make it due to health reasons and am very disappointed. Hopefully we will be able to pull off more events that good or better.

Doc

Doc, as I was not a member of the GLTDR last year I did not know of the event that took place in 2000. I was told the turn out in 2000 was a little disappointing to say the least. Being a member this year gave me a chance to go to a nice event that was not too far from home. I did not have the means to volunteer to help this year, maybe that can change if the event is happening next year. I enjoyed meeting other members. The only thing I would like to see is a few minutes taken to gather the members together for the newer members to meet all the rest that were able to attend. I only knew one member when I arrived and only met a couple of others. In all it was a great meet and the amount of people and the distances they travelled to attend amazed me. I am sorry you could not make it because of your recent surgery. I hope to meet you in the not too distant future.

David

Thanks!

As I just pulled in the driveway from my 2 days down in Muncie, the first thing I wanted to do was thank everyone for their efforts in coordinating "Thunder In Muncie. " I see I was beat to the punch.

I'd would really like to give a hugh thanks to everyone who has given their time, effort, and to some $$$, for putting together such a great show. This was the first event I'd ever been to and it was an excellent time finally meeting individuals so I could put a face to the name. I can't say enough good things about the event.

THANKS! to all the helpful members of the GLTDR, Eric McBride, DTT for helping sponser the drags, Dave's Diesel, and anyone else who helped make this event possible.

-Ryan

I'd also like to extend my appreciation to everyone who made the event possible. We were only able to attend the Sunday events, but, on the way home, my 18 year old son told me that he's never had so much fun as he had drag racing my little first gen Dodge/Cummins in the time trials.

Thanks again and I hope we will be able to attend next year's event.

Waaaaa!

I'm so bummed that I dnf'd on the Muncie event:( I did get to meet some new folks here in the central valley of CA and that was pretty cool. I really would have prefered to have been in Muncie if my truck would have been fit to race.

Thumbs up to Stack'd, Steve Saint, and anyone who helped with the production of this event.

All,

We had a great time, and a special thanks go out to Dave's Diesel, Eric McBride, and all of the GLTDR members who worked very hard to make this event go off flawlessy. Next year we hope to be in a better position to help even more in making this the greatest diesel event in the North East! Thanks to everyone who came to see us, and thanks to all of you for your support in making this dream come true!

Big thanks!

First of all, a big thumbs up to everyone who put this show together. Secondly, many thanks to Chip & Rob of Blue Chip, Dave and Randy of Dave's Diesel, and everyone else who scrambled to the call to put the Auto Wurks truck back into the competition on Sunday after it slipped timing. We never did get to put down a consistent run due to the fact that the transmission arrived from BD on Friday afternoon, and we were on the road on Saturday morning. We would have loved to make it to the pulling competition and we will definitely make it there next year.

muncie

A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!

Thanks guys, and I also would like to thank lot's of people that helped:

First off, have you ever seen a turnout like that? I haven't! I can't believe the amount of people that came, especially when the pulls started. We don't have an official count yet, but the way I measure success is the countless people that gave us good praise (as I was running from here to there)

Thanks to:

Lora Bennett (my co-worker on this from Dave's Diesel)

Randy Jim

Michelle Tim

Jessica Angie

Randy And all of the other Dave's Diesel helpers that

JD I can't think of right now. Special thanks to Dave Smith the owner of Dave's Diesel!

From the GLTDR:

Dave Green, no words can be enough!

Bob Fischer

Andy Fischer

Joe Dailey

Chad Witham

Wayne Skeens

Steve Abbott

Brian Edwards

Thomas Meers (I saw you uner your truck!)

Steve St. Laurent

And most of all, the brains behind the website:

David Dawley aka Doc Tinker, even thought you weren't there, you were thought of Doc!

If I missed anyone else, I'm sorry.

Our sponsors BD Power, and Geno's Garage, TDR and the Power Stroke Registry for the publicity.

Thanks to all of vendors, I hope that you all felt that it was a trip worth your while! Todd Van Gilden for driving up from VA with their dyno.

The biggest, greatest gratitude goes to Lorretta Mitchell, for saving the day and helping us learn how to organize a 65 hook pull!

Thanks to everyone that came to little ole Muncie, if it wasn't for you, we'd been very bored! Everyone mark your calendar for next year, WE WILL BE BACK. Bigger and better!

Muncie was one terrific event. Many thanks to everyone that made it happen. I would like give special thanks to the DTT Team for being top notch people and for the generous testing of their Dodge Ram. I can't wait till next year!!!

Great Show In Muncie...

All of us from Advanced Diesel Technology had a terrific time just getting together and meeting all of you and appreciate all of the support you have given us.

Just like Doug said, special thanks goes out to Dave's Diesel, Eric McBride, and all of the GLTDR members who worked very hard to make this event a success.

We will definitely be there again next year...

Once again, Great Show...

We just got home a couple hours ago!

A big thanks to all the GLTGR members, their sponsors and everyone else who made this great event happen. We had a great time both days.

Doc, sorry to hear you couldn't make, hope you are feeling better.

Larry

Eric,

What a great event. We had a great time and yes it's 2:00 a. m. and I just got home. Getting ready to jump in the bed but man what a blast.

It was great seeing you all again, watching you make that 14. 0 pass was awesome. You gotta teach me how to shift like that. :D

We'll be back for sure.

I'm glad to see all the happy faces. :) :) :)

The GLTDR is proud of the success of this event and we're proud of our Member Of The Hour, Eric McBride, for his superb organizational skills.

I thank those of you who wished me well and said they missed me at the event. I hope you really had too much fun to notice that I wasn't there.

Please remember this event! Next year, Dave's Diesel Thunder in Muncie will be even bigger and better. Quality comes with experience!

I echo Eric's thanks to the sponsors, vendors, members and Dave's Diesel for helping to make this event possible.

A special thanks go to those members of GLTDR who volunteered their time and brains(?) at the event, and to the Ford and GM Diesel owners who crossed the bridge to help us promote diesel power.

Although the members of the GLTDR like to think of themselves as BAD Boys, we are really a hard working, fun loving, friendly and supportive group of families, who have atleast one thing in common... Hands that smell like diesel !! :) If you wish to know more about the GLTDR please visit our web site - - http://www.gltdr.org

Heads up Street 4WD

Noone entered as a heads-up 2wd (could have won by forfeit) but I led the day in the 4wd with consistent 14. 1 passes until the ole clutch got too hot, slipped me to a 2. 207 60ft and my buddy Kenny Johnson (non-tdr member) out-treed me . 3 with a 14. 533 pass beating my 14. 368 pass. I wouldn't want to lose to anyone else, Kenny is a good friend and has been drag racing GN's for years. Congratulations Kenny for taking 2nd place in two of the open pull classes and first on the heads-up drag racing!

THANK YOU GLTDR!!!!..... we had fun,and met some really nice people... the weather was GREAT!!!!:D hope to do it again!!!!!
