What would be a good $$$ for thie trailer?

sealing trailer roof

Climbing up out of the Verde Valley on I-17 southbound towing the TT I needed to go around a very slow moving 18 wheeler. all the wonderful car drivers wouldn't let me out into the high speed lane and being 51' long (truck & trailer) I need a bit more room than the POS rice burners... ...

So this big unburdened burgundy 4x4 crew cab FORD halls butt up behind me, swings out and blocks both lanes and let's me do the black smoke thing.

Cleared the semi, pulled over and the FORD driver sat next to the semi a little longer than needed, then poured the diesel to the powerstroke and black smoked all the PO'd low torque yuppies.

A hand wave as he passed and we both were wearing ear to ear grins knowing what he had just done for our diesel community.

The wife's comment was priceless, "What are you laughing at "?

Yup. Pull out and block the lane. Then flash your lights at the big rig. I get lots of big waves out the window for that.

I have done almost the same thing. While towing on 2 lanes in no particular hurry I have had 18 wheelers and log trucks catch up to me. I try to contact them on the c. b. and tell them at the first oportunity (road permitting) I will pull to the right and let them around. I also tell them in the event we meet someone comming the opposite direction for him to keep going and I will brake and let him in front. I tell them I am retired and have no schedual and I do know they are trying to make a living. They usually respond with " I wish everyone would be that considerate". Once after a truck passed he asked me how I liked the Cummins? A long conversation ensued.

I do the same thing all the time. Really ticks off the Yuppies that people will help each other out now and then, esp those dirty diesel trucks. Now, imagine someone in a Celebrity or 626 doing the same thing. REALLY surprises the trucks. If they woudl teach you in "driver's education" that the rear tandems on the truck outweigh your car, people might give them a little more room.

looks like there are several people that understand common courtesy. . I do it all the time as to trucks and RVers also, even without the 5er on. . on the CB they will be very thankful that someone gave them a break !

I have my CB on at all times when I am in my truck. I will block traffic for the truckers at any time they need/want a lane.

I spent to many miles OTR.

I do it in the wifes car without a CB also.

On my way home from work the the road goes from four lanes to two. Almost without exception the only people I see giving the trucks room to move over are people driving other trucks (of any size). I try really hard to be nice to the big rigs, but our highways are so congested sometimes its just nigh impossible.
