Using Bob Wagner's tip, I ordered a set of Bilstiens to replace my 80,000 mile stock shocks from ORW. Ordered them 0530 Monday morning and received them at 1630 Tuesday. Thanks to both. I thought I got a good deal. The ride is better. I wasn't expecting much, the truck still has that HD suspension.

I haven't had as good of luck with ORW

I ordered four OEM Bilstein shocks 2/7/2005 from ORW.

Got a good price no complain there “but” one of the rear shocks failed at less than 60 miles. Leaking oil like crazy.

I paid to ship back the defective shock to ORW, they said I would have to Buy another shock… until they received the bad unit for warrantee to Bilstein…

I paid for the fifth shock. They shipped it promptly also. Several phone calls to them later and several promises to call me back “that didn’t happen” and still no reimbursement for the failed shock.

I was told about two weeks at the time for reimbursement I shipped it back 2/17/2005 almost two months and nothing!

Not such a great deal for me… 4 shocks for the price of 5 and I got to pay the shipping to return the shock. Not real thrilled with the customer service at ORW.

Just curious which shocks you ordered Jar, was it the stock replacement, or the 5100?

(Or the 5150's or 61xx's Kore uses)

Thanks. I'm in the same spot needing shocks. I'm hitting the bumps too hard & I htink these 180k shocks are the originals! LOL

By the way this worked ok in the end. Credit for the fifth shock was given soon after this Quoted post.
