Anyone own a diesel eXmark mower?

Stacks shaking truck

Today I paid 3. 49/gal to fill up, I did some checking and utah has the highest price diesel in the nation, and to top it off all our oil comes from local sources, with other parts of the country such as the south seeing diesel . 75/gal lower, I would think it would be profitable for people to start trucking in diesel from other parts of the country. I am wondering why noone is doing this??It also appears our gasoline is above the national average which is still . 60/per gal less than diesel, Its this horiffic increase in fuel costs that I feel crushed the resale value of my '02 that I just sold. anyways be it gas or diesel there is some ripping off going on here, with gasoline they can't blame it on the formulation switch over

Here in San Diego for once,we're not the highest:$3. 09 at two independents. Toyota's coming out with their 5. 8 liter V-8 gas fullsized truck in Feb. Despite their reputation, you've got to question their timing. How much market is there going to be for yet another 12-14mpg. truck?

Just made the trip from SLC to Blackfoot and back... cheapest I saw was $3. 36 on the indian reservation... everything else was within 2 or 3 cents of $3. 49. I hear ya, Cowboy... this is just crap. We have the refineries here and have to pay like we're bringing it in from NY...

I did see B-20 in Midvale for $3. 42... for what its worth.

Well I thought we out west had the distinction of having the highest priced Diesel fuel, but I purchased fuel today at $2. 99... .

$3. 69 here in west central Idaho. That's not the highest either. Up the road in McCall it's going for 4 or 5 cents more.

Solution..... easy. Just park the Dodge and drive the Jetta.

I've been getting the B-20 here in Roy for $3. 29!

Well they just found a new discovery in deep water in the Gulf (yea. . right. . new discovery). Fuel prices should be plummetting to . 75 cents in weeks. Just hold your breath for awhile.

Hey Wayne, which Donaldson oil filter do I need for an '02 Dodge? The new (ELF ?)filter for extented use (didn't mean to hijack the thread).

The ELF-7349 Donaldson is the one for the 5. 9L cummins. The EaO-80 is the equivelant filter in the Amsoil line... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... same filter, just different color, like the Mopar/Fleetgaurd filters... ... ... ... ... ..... same filters, different colors!

MARKETING!!!!!!

Hey, guess what. There are some independent truckers buying cheaper diesel from out of state and bringing it here, but as soon as it hits the pump, the price is raised as high as they can go! We're getting screwed! The gas-man is making a killing on diesel.

Steve

Last week $3. 499 here in Everett, WA... . Now down to $3. 41. I too can only hope for lower prices soon! At these prices, it would be cheaper to drive a gasser but I'm not too interested in going there!

The value of our trucks is going down. Dealers won't take them since they can't hardly sell them right now.

About 3. 06 in Fairbanks AK right now.

Location isn't everything.

The highest prices I remember in NM were along I-40 just east of Gallup at the Giant Travel Center. Yes, the one that has the exit named "Refinery", and yes, the one with all the fancy lights just behind it on the big industrial gasoline refinery looking thing. Put a travel center next to the refinery, petro transportation expense close to zip and charge the most for the privilege of using the travel center..... Go figure.

I also remember during the first gulf war, that brand put signs on their pumps ("Buy American Fuel - we're not dependent on the foreign oil") what that said to me was "no our cost of fuel did not go up, we are just profiteering on the situation"

Sorry to rant, but on the other hand, driving my F??? gasser still costs more at 8 mpg. I gotta get the Dodge done.....

you got that right, a month ago I finally sold my '02 only got 18,750 for it. I was planning on getting 21k or so. I only had one guy acutally come and look at it, fortunatly he bought it, I thought there would be a lot more interest in it. as it was the only '02 in the paper. when I sold my old '93 5 yrs ago, I had to just about hold an auction, I had 3 offers at the same time and ended up getting my asking price

I dunno WHY you guys are bellyaching about high fule costs - after all, there are (again!) several deep governmental investigations into BP and others allegedly involved in fuel price manipulations - and we have all this research into Biofuels ~ shucks, once the dust settles out from all that, they'll be dern near GIVING the fuel away... . ;) :-laf

Fuel Price

Just filled up today at Stateline fuel station in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Diesel was $2. 69 per gallon. This is cheaper than Wally World with their credit card in Harvey, Louisiana at $2. 83 per gallon... ... Go figure.

Byron :)
